The big risk here is to make resistance debuffs mandatory and/or too powerful since they will now lower avoidances : where also Destruction classes got a big advantage here with ranged AoE and ST debuffs (Magus got 2, Sorc got one - both are synergyzing well -, Sham got 2 aoe debuffs and even Zealot with one AoE and one ST corpo debuff).
Imagine having a Knight or a Chosen in every party mandatory, and Maguses everywhere... While Order debuffs will be less effective because less synergies and lacking types (Engi corpo debuff dont benefit to AoE BW, no elem debuff aside KotBS), this will need a very big balancing process on about everything to not create massive imbalances.
Also, you will need to return the softcap with same rule as other stats (currently resistances are divided by 3 after softcap, not halved). Otherwise slotting resist talismans - as your example - will still only return a third of their efficiency, as soon you got over softcap.
I think the easiest solution is to separate Dodge and Disrupt for renown ; have one renown ability for Dodge and another one for disrupt (4 levels (1,2,3,4 rp = 10 points to max out for each).
This way you get more granular control over your avoidances (Dodge being more needed Destruction side, while Order needs more Disrupt than Dodge), and you can spare a bit more renown in other renown abilities.
More diversity and a more strategic allocation, since some archetypes are more sensitive than other, and not everyone got access to easy disrupt/dodge increases outside of renown ; having the ability to choose the one that you need more should be beneficial for everyone, with similar renown cost as now.
It will also lighten the renown cost on those stats for low level players, making them more affordable with limited renown budget.
