Re: Scenario Rework
How about this - don't put premade in sc unless there is another premade on opposite side.

Re: Scenario Rework
remove RR and medalions from kill and give it to Bo. longer the fight more RR and warcrest. Work only on sc.
Re: Scenario Rework
It applies perfectly. What environment game creates it attracts certain type of player and reinforces certain types of behavior. And current design attracts and reinforces cowardice and giving up on the slightest sighting of adversity. Fast run to hug the guard and surrender vote, go next with hope enemy surrenders faster, while players put 0 real effort into their gameplay.Kendaric wrote: ↑Wed Feb 15, 2023 12:14 pmGravord wrote: ↑Wed Feb 15, 2023 11:43 am “Throw your soldiers into positions whence there is no escape, and they will prefer death to flight. If they will face death, there is nothing they may not achieve. Officers and men alike will put forth their uttermost strength. Soldiers in desperate straits lose the sense of fear. If there is no place of refuge, they will stand firm. If they are in the heart of a hostile country, they will show a stubborn front. If there is no help for it, they will fight hard. Thus, without waiting to be marshaled, the soldiers will be constantly on the alert, and without waiting to be asked, they will do your will; without restrictions, they will be faithful; without giving orders, they can be trusted.
Prohibit the taking of omens, and do away with superstitious doubts.
Then, until death itself comes, no calamity need be feared.”
― Sun Tzu, The Art Of War
While that applies to real soldiers in a real war situation, it doesn't apply to a video game.
People will not stand and fight, they'll either log off or don't queue for scenarios anymore. Some may try to fight, but the majority wouldn't. And quite frankly why would they let themselves be farmed?
Why would they be farmed if they have equally balanced setup as their enemy? They cant blame lack of healers, or tanks, it all in their own hands to make that game a win, no excuses, no safety nets to run to and avoid fight. Real pvp and breeding ground for real pvp player mentality.
Also, as a side note, games like SWTOR have barriers on every sc for almost a decade and it works, players fight, with nowhere to run they try their best and vast majority of fights aint fast and rarely ever ends in spawn camp. Just imagine your 12 man sc have 4 tanks and 4 healers actually pressing buttons, chance of a full 12 man fast wipe are extremely low while chances for recovery and turning the tide are all there.
Re: Scenario Rework
Or just make a true discordant queue. Only solos, mixing of order and destruction on the same teams.
Lore be damned. Good luck trying to game that it will just throw you and your buddy on opposite teams.
The better you are the more you need to carry terrible players like myself up Mt. Tryhard.
I can for sure tell you which queue would be vastly more popular.
It won't happen of course but one can dream...

Re: Scenario Rework
You know there is already a scenario with 2-2-2 setups guaranteed, only solo queueing and mixed teams so you can't stack semi-premades on one side?Wakisaka wrote: ↑Wed Feb 15, 2023 12:27 pm Or just make a true discordant queue. Only solos, mixing of order and destruction on the same teams.

It also gives ~2x the rewards of a normal scenario.

Re: Scenario Rework
all i read here is: punish losers, make it easier for premades.
only suggestion i would sign is do not allow premades or even two men grps to queue

Re: Scenario Rework
Consideration
1- sc should be equal to fast action
2- therfore you should not be able to decide what and where you wanna play or vs who.
3-the logic behind scenario is in contrast the way the queue system work.
Solution
-make only discordant and week end sc queue-able for everyone group and soloq
Alternative
A-sacrefice soloq-ers in mouth of groups, because system don't work.
B-sacrefice group queue in favorur of a simplier queuer system, also because if you want test yourself the main part of the game is rvr. You dont like it, its your problem.
Personal choice: make sc only personal queue for log and play expirience. Keep ranked a mix between group and soloq.

Re: Scenario Rework
Perhaps you are not reading what is actually said but what you want to see to be against it?
Theres no easier for premade than it is now.
Edit: Just to point the obvious, same premade is stacking discordant right now as we speak, farming pug players, for over 3 months now.

Re: Scenario Rework
Unfortunately, I have already experienced this “fix” in my time zone. The pops weren’t “a bit slower”. They were almost nonexistent. I would play for 2 hours and get 2 SCs to pop in that amount of time. So, to answer your question again, yes. I would prefer to play more crappy SCs than only 1 or 2 during the time I get to play. Period.Gravord wrote: ↑Wed Feb 15, 2023 11:08 amIs this really what you prefer over bit slower pop (and not so necessarily slower if all types of q are combined into one) that actually gives both sides balanced setup and a fighting chance?Toggle wrote: ↑Tue Feb 14, 2023 7:43 pm As an NA player with chronically low pop, I vote no for any matchmaking. I would rather play 3 or 4 crappy SCs in an hour than wait 30+ mins (or an hour?) for one crappy one. Out of the two situations above, at least I get to press some buttons in one of them. People aren’t going to sit around staring at a keyboard for 30+ (or more mins) to do SCs, sorry.

Re: Scenario Rework
As already explained, previous attempt of matchmaking left players option to q 8 different sc at the same time which obviously lead to slower pops for everyone...Toggle wrote: ↑Wed Feb 15, 2023 1:45 pmUnfortunately, I have already experienced this “fix” in my time zone.
