Yet another realm balance suggestion.

The problem with zerg, realistically, is this- as long as rvr is about bringing all in zone into the same choke point (keep), the side with larger numbers will zerg, while the lower side will (since not liking getting smashed) xrealm/ log off (+few 6men/WH/WE hunting soloers with aao).

Only way it can be changed is to remove the forced choke point- if there are several points spread across the zone which need to be controlled to take the zone (instead of BOs being ignored once keep hits 2 stars), then the lower side can concentrate in specific point or two, and actually fight back.

The suggestion is the following:

1. Make controlling BOs give a large boost to keep door regen of the controlling side- if your side controls 2 BOs in zone, it will take a very long time to take your doors down with ram, if your side controls 3 BOs in zone your keep doors can't be taken down and will slowly regen even while being attacked by ram. If needed, also add dot on opposite side keep doors, per number of BOs controlled.

2. Make fighting at BOs give as much contribution as fighting at keep+ attacking lord, and make fighting at BOs give all relevant ticks including renown tick for killing lord.

Problem with current campaign are keeps that need to fall before zone will flip, that means no matter what you do in zone, you always will end up in the lord room. We have already alternative zone lock, lotd mechanic. Let devs tweak it more, and one day it can be impelented as standard locking mechanic for any other zone.

The best way to fix the RVR is remove scheduled citys, move back to old style campgain and add a currency only for city, like was previous to the War Crest:
-The people will capture BOs again
-The people will siege again
-The people will push to forts again
-The people will play city again.
-The RVR will have a goal again.

The War crest system killed the RVR/City, It seemed that it could be a big solution, but it was a big mistake. Obviously, the team did it with the idea of helping people and improving the game, but it was a failure. I hope some day they revert it.
Spoiler:
Kpihuss -- WP 88
Kpithrogrim -- IB 83
Kpigaragrim -- Slayer 81
Kpikossar -- SW 77
Kpirmedes -- RP 68+
Kpiboris -- KOTBS 65+

I hope not. Playing EU in org WBs just to push city EU will not see, feeding no lifers new shiny currency for off peak farmed city, please never again. Now you have opportunity to gear up the way YOU want. No need to do any piece of game to get bis gear. And keep it that way.

Who you mean with "the people"? The crowd of people who are online, while the majority of the server pop sleeps?

I agree.
City was meant to be the ultimate goal for rvr. You have to work hard across the lakes to get there and earn your loot. If you fail to attend this week for irl timetables it will be for next week, as it has been for everyone for a long time.

Work hard? This was only true for EU prime, where we usually had stalemates. Then we had daily city sieges in the time slots where most players were absent.

  • Keep the War Crests, Keep the scheduled Citys.
  • Create a new Curreny (War Emblem) which depends on the Influence that you've made in the Zone/Fort. It has no timer and it is account bound.
  • You spend it at the start of the City.
  • City Instances will be matched about the War Emblem spend on both sides.
  • The Rewards (War Crests) for the City scales directly with the War Emblem spend.
With this change you will motivate the People to fight in the lakes and in the City again. You will be able to solve the matching Problem in the City. (Because People will care again and will not join city with Beastlord/Ruin Mix.)
And you will be able to keep the current Currency system.

Turn the city into a weekend warfront thing. Have the city be enterable 3-4 times per day. Build up your influence bar for some rewards.

Have the current weekend warfront turn into a "weekly sc" Like the currently weekly rvr.

Make finishing the campaign give a special currency like guild coin to buy mounts and cosmetics as well as BoA warcrest token for your alts.
