General questions about gear/armor

I’ve been out of the loop for a while, I was looking at the armor merchants and I was wondering, for a solo player without guild, what would be the best route to get the best gear? I have seen people talking about some kind of pve armor but not sure.

The last time I just did rvr and kept upgrading armor with the tokens I was getting. Is this enough? I also have seen you require some kind of “ward” for each armor set piece, where do you get this?

Basically I want to know if it’s possible to get good gear without any pve and just doing rvr.

Depends of the class but for healers I would go mainly pve road cos the pve gear sets are imo better or at least equal to pvp ones.
I would buy cheapest gloves, boots from ah for lower tier sets buy if need something with crests when reach 30ths farm ruin, beastlord, red eye then sentinel and valewalker. Sent + vw + beastlier for rp/zealot is super potent and give tons of usefull stats (4vw, 3 sent, 3 bl)
Only healer archetype that cant do that route at least for pure healing is wp/dok
Mostly harmless
