The timing of this could not have been worse. I am back in Warhammer for about a month for the 1st time since the public server shutdown. I was working on a slayer last week and the spent significant time on 8 dwarven PQ chapters, countless scenarios, entire set of mayhem, hundreds of war tokens and hundreds of war crests . The dwarven lands are sparse so the time to finish the PVE chapters as well as time queueing for scenarios was significant. My confidence has been shaken after an issue like this in my 1st month back. How often has this occurred?

My question now is my Tome of Knowledge is showing credit for the Mayhem gear so I have the ward (soldier?):

Can I skip reacquiring the mayhem gear and move on to ruin gear?

This would at least let me focus on moving forward instead on backwards.

just ride the order zerg - you'll get gear falling into your lap as you punch down empty keeps.

A week of 2x seems like lazy compensation for the amount of time a lot of us spent over the last week.

it is no compensation if motivation to play is currently zero due to mishandling of server and some baiting comments which devalue players time invested last week and are quite disrespectful

why does this week now mean more than last week? why does last week count for nothing? what is to stop this week from counting for nothing also

ive lost close to 5,000 crests , i completed the weekly, and the sc event on 8 characters im not doing that again... my desire to play and lead again servely effected by being this being botched massively and yet another ror ****show

players are lifeblood of server also, without players there is no game. 50 hours for nothing? nice caring for the community

We put in a solid 10 hours, many of us while at work, to get what could be done in a reasonable timeframe with our initial focus on the server coming online with as much data as we had intact. The X2 and event extensions were a first step, not the last, but our people need their rest and recovery from the stress and hassle of juggling unknowns and expectations in the face of well warranted frustration from our players. When we reconvene tomorrow during EU hours we can evaluate how much further we should take compensation efforts. I expect more to come as well.

I don't need to for you, but I will reiterate that we are not paid, not professionals, and have nothing but the best interests of the server in mind when we address problems. That comes with limits on our own time and sanity.

Again, your frustration is warranted and expected, we are frustrated as well. The team all plays the game, we've all lost time in the rollback. They don't get to simply generate what they think they lost either. If we can't restore everything for everyone, we have to go with the next best option.

We know exactly what caused the data loss and have very much fixed it to not happen again. This is the second significant rollback we've had to do in the past 8 years. Try running a worldwide 24/7 MMO for a decade, these things happen.

Event progress was not saved on my IB but was saved on my BO.

Please make scenario win/loss rewards at least x2 as well.

This sucks, but nothin we can do. Thanks for everything you guys do on this server, we really do appreciate it despite the griping and groaning!

I'm going up camping and canoeing tomorrow for about a week. BWCA entry point #33, Little Gabbro Lake, if you want to look me up. So I'm going to miss out on the remunerative gesture. Oddly enough this one doesn't really bother me. I understand the consternation. I myself willingly put my nuts into the garlic press with all those painful Ironclad scens. However this is the only game that scritches our itches, and this crap tends to happen with our friendly neighborhood Warhammer server.

I think a month is a more appropriate timeline for compensation. Do a week of extra Renown, then do a week of extra experience/influence. Or extend the next scheduled event, Halloween I assume, for a week. Actually the Halloween event provides the perfect opportunity to make it up to the community. Maybe a new mask?

One month, still not enoguh , farming 4 days straight bbbe/hv was hell, not a chance of doing that again, we want gear back not 2x for rr80s to enjoy it even more on a road to 100 lol. Yeah im gona do **** with my ilvl 30 gear now in t4 , just grifeing sc that are already unbalanced.

First off all, Thank you all for the effort for not only running this game/server but also for the best you guys did for handling this crisis. I can imagine it must have been hell for some or probably most of the team. And how much I hate the lost time and progress I've made the last week on one or more chars, I'm sure you guys are starting to get tired of us selfishly whining about our free toys.

Personally, I'm not expecting all my lost stuff back because I also realize that some people will try to abuse this situation to get more out of this than they've put into it. Like the saying goes: "never let a good crisis go to waste", and we all know that some people will try to do exactly that...


But I do have a small, maybe silly or weird question.
Is it recommended to just start recollecting stuff on the chars that have lost items (Crests, Gold, Gear, Purple Seeds, Twitch rewards, etc etc..), or would it be a better idea to just play chars (for now) that weren't disadvantaged by this. The reason why I'm asking this is because I don't want to start recollecting stuff on a character, only to get this double after whatever further compensation would come.
For example: I've made a lot of progress on an alt Witch Elf the last week, including getting my full Genesis set. Would it be better to keep that char on hold for now and wait for whatever form of compensation may come? Or does the team recommends to move on and start recollecting that set anyway. I just don't want to start collecting Genesis Crests again, only to get them back in a couple of days as a form of compensation and than not being able to use them.

Again, I know it's a bit of a weird question and you guys have a lot of things to talk about and consider, trying to find a balance between keeping people happy while not letting the opportunists abuse the situation. And if you don't have any answer on this question (yet) than I'll just continue playing on something else, no worries.
