Alright thanks for the advice. Think I might get my chosen up to 40 and see what its like.

Just keep in mind that you wouldn't be able to do anything we were talking about in this thread right after you hit 40 lvl. Bottom tier for offtank will start when you be geared in sentinel+bloodlord mix+bloodlord 2h(or defence prock sentinel 2h). Just offtank, not regen offtank or defregen etc. This things are usually reserved for BiS/close to BiS gear players.

Upd. Oh, since you do have some high rr chars you know this already.

Don't expect to kill a lot of stuff - most of your opponents will be dps AMs (loss by default for you), WH of all sorts (you can kill the stupid ones, but even if you manage to gain an upperhand - he can always say "ty devs for my new cheat ability" and run away with his charge+stealth). Any geared for gank mdps will tear you apart, thus, leavaing you with a small cathegory of people who are not geared for solo but by some reason still tries to play like that.

There is a reason why most of those solo tanks are defregen tards - its hard to secure a kill against good opponent when you are playing as a tank, thus, you just gear towards defregen to survive anything thrown at you - and, as a bonus, to kill anyone dumb enough to stay around (unless its your collegue - in this case its a pointless endless fight until someone dies from boredom or because his build don't have enough hp regen).

Mix +hp regen armor parts from best sets, take (probably) defensive 2h, maybe fleshrender or 2, maybe +180 hp regen chest, and at that point you are either trying to max your hp regen+toughness (full deftard) or invest into your offensive capabilities (so called regen dps tank or regen offtank). Obviously, best results are gained from mixing top sets.

toughness is overrated and to some extent strenght (no joke) any % modifiers is way stronger and noticeable like crit, parry, resistances, armor, disrupt and dodge (dodge kinda sucks tho very hard to dodge anything)

as a 2h tank you will hate every enemy healer in the game, they will just ruin your fun and they will never die... the good thing here is where BG can shine more cuz they have an antidetaunt tactic and can actually kill the joysuckers (sometimes because runies never die)
