That's what it was changed to in 2020 before being reverted back to the current version when the new ability system went live, and the channel absolutely gutted the ability as it then prevented:

1) Being able to heal while using it, which was never a problem.
2) Being able to provide overlapping damage, which was never a problem (lol DPS Zealots)
3) No longer being able to use it while airborne which meant it was no longer a useful counter to being pulled, and as a side-effect...
4) Being punted also shut it down
5) There was no way of cancelling it other than using a different ability, meaning you were locked in for 1.5 seconds due to the GCD and then had to make sure the next ability you used was valid in order to cancel WoI (you can't move or jump to cancel as it roots you in place).
6) Probably more niche uses I am forgetting.

The patch notes for the change back in 2020 can be found here and they were, for lack of a better term, utter **** bullshit: viewtopic.php?f=42&t=35169 *. All that was mentioned in the patch notes was "Wind of Insanity can now be interrupted by pure interrupts. (Taunt, etc)", so people rightly assumed that it would remain a toggle but interrupts would stop it. Instead, it got converted into a channel and all the issues above occurred.

I have no problem if the ability is reverted back to the 2020 "intent" (rather than the execution) where it works as it does now but pure interrupts turn it off, but please don't put it back to being a channel as it causes so many additional problems for the Zealot.


* This was also the patch that nerfed the heal debuff tactic because... DoKs were doing too well in 6v6 with a similar-but-better tactic. 2020 was the year of DPS Zealot nerfs.

Pulses of CC imune ignoring punts that cannot be prevented is already very potent tools especially when used in offensive way to put order blob in total chaos. I was punted 7! times in 30 sec interval in figth with guild that used this tool purely offensive. Good job, its always been there, but in curent state with no real counterplay it near bug abuse. Now zealots start to fantasise about healing in it, move in it? Are u mad? Mara pulls, gtdc, celerity, and this on top is just unholy amount of cc advantange that have near zero counterplay. I really hope devs fix this, cos order just tired of metion this every time and not one nigth in order discord was wasted in curses that situation dont change. Such potent tools should be properly mirrored as heal debuff mechanics, but i predict what destro will say as usual - "order have rampa...." so thats why i asked atleast return winds in "kinda balanced" state. And i will always root for complete removal of slow from covenant of celerity for less toxic prock effect. Hope devs will finally do this in their heal balance patch.

WAR REPORT.... what's to say, now the griefers will continue to kill easy targets over and over. a reminder that the game is a violent one, and people can get nasty doing it, REAL NASTY, through the way they play hence grief your tail with a few of their like minded buddies for a while a LONG WHILE ....so war report out was good, had a 15 min timer to reuse, so this change is just stupid. this now is a way to torture a player in need of an escape from perusers that keep trolling one to death. ME i have had players WRPT out on me, tbh idc ... or even log off, get some renown, for their supposed cowardly exit. i guess that was fair enough. didn't like it, but i guess it was what it was....but now this, oh boy, now you'll force my toon to fight when i see myself overwhelmed and decide to stand still and wait for death ??? cause clearly people hate it when you don't give them the fight they craved when they are going to REKT YOUR TAIL. the thought process of some things so not needed to be touched in this game just leave me SMH ....fix WL lion pet, for crying out loud already ...get the real fights going fairly and equally !!!!!! destro have pulls and pets that work 100% fine the other side lacks them to do so. MAKE THE DARN GAME FUN FOR ALL !!! (not just one side ) reason more on red than blue, all the time, we have red players going blue to keep it going, lol for their advantages of course.... there i said it, go ballistic on me if you need too, idc, i regret nothing i say. destro side too darn good. period. make it equal for both sides to work properly. i played destro too dang easy, order is gimped. PERIOD !

There was Nurgle helm in the game? Any pics? And yes we need more appearances not less imo. Good job on the patch!

I was completing my look before I took a screenshot, but yes, the Nurgle Chosen helmet was briefly replaced a T2 Elf Epic Quest helm apperance. This has since been fixed. I spent closed to 6 hours PvEing trying to find other appearance items, thinking it was a easter egg hunt, should have just enjoyed it in PvP while I had it :S

Its very fun and rewarding when you find unique appearance items, but its not fun knowing they probably will be "fixed" at some point. But its nice to know there still are interesting appearances in the game i have no idea existed.

This "Skulls of the Fallen" event looks very promising.

I feel like the idea of offerings fits the Warhammer theme incredibly well, and this is something that could be expanded upon to increase guild engagement.

Imagine for example guilds (or whole factions!) getting together at some altar to offer a bunch of skulls prior to their raids!

I could even imagine some small buffs, but for example only if you're on the side with AAO. Granting offerings to the gods to turn the tide or to stave off Chaos just a little longer.
