Interesting take on the topic.
I don't think KD is a core ability, many class have to spec into it and its fine in my opinion.
But I would suggest an other change. Make the long range punt on chosen and Kotbs core for 2h instead of having to slot a tactic for it. Tactics are limited (4) and punt is a core abilities to remove guard, release pressure from punting some Mdps for exemple etc. It's unfair that one of the 3 tanks get a terrible punt unless they slot a tactic for it.

The case to be made for a viable punt for all tanks is more relevant than OPs case regarding KD, due to the lack of soft cc available to dps classes.
I say that if you wish to even the ground through implementing something new here, it has to a morale ability.

So, give every tank an additional m1 with a punt attached. Now you won't be parried/blocked, now 6v6 is less frustrating. Changing m1 is easier to coordinate than changing spec or tactics.

M1 Punt might be a good change. It has its benefits.

-First of all, change. Yes the dance tanks gotta do to get at enemy's back/sides while also protecting your own flanks is engaging, but its been the same for a looong time.

-Current tank gameplay limits the number of ppl that can play Tanks in 6v6 by a lot since everybody outside of EU has a MASSIVE disadvantage due to ping. I've seen, and experienced myself, North American tanks talking to the EU tank they were fighting against after a match, and its always the same - NA tank was getting punted "from the front" every single time, while on EU's tank screen he was at the NA tank's back.

-It has a Morale Cost. Punting is a Kill Condition, Bellows is a counter to Kill Attempts. It will take away from micro skill, by killing the positioning thing it currently is, but make one more thing you gotta theory craft. So its not dumbing down the game. Same thing for oRvR, just not as impactful.

It will most likely kill "punt and burst" kite groups and make Destro's Morale Gain Tank Tactic even more broken, so we gotta think about that too.

I don't agree with that M1 punt.
Punt is a core mecanic, it's important in RvR also not only in 6v6. Moral punts, means less punts overal, and cuting other cool M1 out (demo, ChampChallenge).
Punt is a core mecanic with no issues at all. For what players with ping exp what should we do ? rebuild the entire game so your 150ping isnt an issue ? For the "abuses" from tank fishing in RvR just punt them far back before they punt, make your dps position better CC the dude, plenty of counter plays.

M1 Punt doesn't have benefits and only has restrictions. It will make the ST slower and boring.
Trying to get a ST kill in SC/6v6/GvG/City every 60sc by trying to synchronise KD - Punt will make the game slower and boring, by switching the meta into SL/Choppa (again) with Drop Da Bacha/Numbing Strikes on CD.

Also, for the NA tanks vs EU tanks ... surprise, surprise ! It goes both way : I got face punted by NA tanks, the same way I did for them.
