Idea how to split bigger groups of player and small change in BOs mechanic

This idea just come to my mind
May be split bigger groups of players by adding timer on Bos and number of player required to gather boxes. It can be 6/12/18/24 players on the 2/3/4 Bos(at the same time) to get sertain benefits and gather boxes(change speed of boxes generated)(example: if on two/three/four BOs is 24 ppl- boxe generate faster/or ever generate- in number(X)) . I think this mechanic from zone lock splits blobs very nicely- and its good place to start. Two or Three groups(requier number) of player must hold some objectives on the Battlefield at the same time to achieve goal. So if someone needs to generate boxes(or generate boxes faster) they need to split. This idea can be improved to take into account time zones where there cannot be 12(Xnumber of) players on two Bos in the same time. The idea is to give biger number of players purpouse to be in differend place at the same time. Now only one player can take/ lock BO and generate boxes alone no need to force 6/12/18 people to do it.
(and probably its not that hard to implement because i assume all of those mechanics are already in game they will just change numbers on code)

Sorry if i duble someone ideas its beyond human capabilities to read all the ideas from all posts.
It can have some trial testing time or something.

Y idea is great, i have generally idea about making all warband not 24 but 12 ppl :))

Agree with that, I suggested similar idea in a old post some years ago ;

- Mixing old system (Renown ticks near flags) with new supply system.

- Need to hold flags for a certain amount of time with players on them (similar to scenario flag capture), why not by having to click on flag to capture it (will avoid "insta-decap" it's pretty annoying any player can just pass by and prevent supply generation).

- While flags are held, need player presence to generate supplies

- Organize supply drops by letting a player bring supply to keep or warcamp

- every involved player (who capped flag, took supplies, stayed to generate one, and still holding flag) will be rewarded as soon supply is brought to destination, as well as players who escorted supply carrier.

- The most steps you took in bringing supplies, or the more you stayed on flag until supply delivery, the more Renown you get.

- To avoid "camping" flags too much, make decreasing rewards after each supply delivery (first one is 100% reward, second one 75%, and so on).


The goal is to reward player behavior granting progression on zone, wich is currently badly rewarded, i.e. delivering boxes and taking flag is a fraction of what kills could bring as contribution, not to mention the "malus" you currently got playing alone or in small group.

This way you will have to altern between "static" gameplay, staying on flags after capping, but you will also need to be moving constantly, and escort supply deliveries, or nobody got renown.

It should (hopefully) lead to more importance of flag control, and preventing some "solo" negative aspects (like people just passing by, destroying 4 supplies and insta-decapping before vanishing.

Every capture should require active play (becoming a bit more vulnerable, and staying longer to fully decap), and more presence over the time near flags.

Currently, you could see a flag being decapped, and by the time you go to it, offender is already far away, and it can be a single player who just took every bit of renown available without any risk...
It's somehow problematic. At least with SC system, you can quickly see if a flag is capped, but also not lose the control with someone passing by for one second over it, without having to even dismount.
It should be the same for RvR, i.e. require more involvement from both realm to cap/decap/supply the zone.

Ye its not that easy problem to solve. There are planty of variables that must be discovered understod and solved to help deliver good sugestion to Devs.
One of those variables can be variety of Battlefield Objective placements on the map. Some maps can be better then others to suit that idea, and some can just totaly ruin the game for everyone in the lake.
And this mecanic must be correlated with AAO and population to not overkill or not jam the Campain progres. There are time of the server when is less player ect.
And it must be not complicated to not mislead new players and easy to learn.
And in the end- what this system will emphacise- box runers, fights for BOs, spliting blobs,or in contrary players will Blob even more- in the end we need to stay in the overall idea of the lake dynamism/fights to not make all players box runners.

what correlation do you think there is between 24 players in warband and current BO system? Would you like to link the topic you ware talking about ?
