Restore open world PvE to what it was
I don't know why any of you thought it was acceptable to give every mob in the game disarm, silence, knockdown, and knockback. But it's making PvE insufferable. It's as if you've never played an MMO in your entire lives. Are you just biased against PvE and trying to make everyone hate it, funnelling them into the lakes? And while we're on the subject, you have so many unreasonable restrictions on power leveling already, why add this nonsense?

I personally played several mmos, and in ror mobs actually use a lot less abilities than what they should be using.
"Can we play with him, master? He seems so unhappy. Let us help him smile. Please? Or at least let us carve one on his face when he stops screaming."

mobs in ror are dummies.
Re: Restore open world PvE to what it was
I agree that the PVE changes (giving mobs abilities) wasn't something that was needed. PVE is for those that search out lore, tome unlocks and farming ingredients and experience. Like the drop rate on meaningful ingredients isn't low enough, now you've got to deal with AP drains, punts, stuns, etc. And don't even get me started on removing the dye quests! Too late, you did.
The dye quests were a relatively easy ways to make a bit of gold. You milked the quest giver as he walked through the zone, made a few dyes and sold them. You stopped the ability to make dyes yet the quest givers still wander aimlessly without purpose. Meanwhile a newb is expected to pay 100gc for the end game mount, not to mention the cost of talis on the AH for end gear.
Please make PVE enjoyable and rewarding again. You'll keep a lot of new players if you give them a path to get what they need to purchase needed items as they grind.

Re: Restore open world PvE to what it was
Do people really think good PVE is when mobs are giant sacks of hit points that autoattack you until they die?

Re: Restore open world PvE to what it was
Im not that big of a fan of Pve but i will eventually at least get senti jewel and bloodlord wpn on classes im srs. But man pve before was quite literally only auto attacking you and now that they work like they should, people want them back to only doing AA? : D Pve route is nice option to have for wards.
Imo Conq and Red-eye Shouldnt be lvl 40 sets. Red-eye can be done with 32+ chars so lvl 32 seems appropriate. Vanq/Opp new rr40-45 set. And That leaves room for new copy paste sets for rr 50-55.

I agree some of the mobs are better then the order players, i'm 40/92 and they almost kill me sometimes when i walk by not even trying to fight them it's stupidyobogoya wrote: ↑Sun Jul 07, 2024 1:34 pm I don't know why any of you thought it was acceptable to give every mob in the game disarm, silence, knockdown, and knockback. No, I think it's known as the "industry standard." If you want to load champions, heroes, and lords up with abilities, by all means do so. But bog standard normal mobs are there for grinding exp, materials, and quests. MMO's that started before warhammer and outlived warhammer still do this to this day.

Its just some flavor, doesn't bother me unless there are some bugged skills that stack on each other indefinitely or something like that.
Re: Restore open world PvE to what it was
but I think the new change is great. Before that I just stack mobs up and AoE them down again and again and again, which is super bored and I never want to do PvE at all if not for farming mats. Now after the change I walk around doing PvE quest much more for the lore or when I get tired of RvR, and the new change really make fighting them much more enjoyable than fighting them with only auto attack like before.
