Class balance, why we stopped the game

Hello, dear developers,

We thank you for all the efforts and time spent developing this wonderful mmo, but after a while there are things that we can't stand anymore: the imbalance of classes between the 2 factions.
It must be a subject that has been raised many times, the difficulty in balancing classes, why not keep it simple, like other mmos do: instead of trying to make "mirror classes" really do it!

ex: you put the same spells on SL and CHOPPA :
no more drama and tears, these 2 classes have the same spells and only the shin or the name of the spells changes.
Which greatly simplifies balancing, development and puts an end to all discussions like "oh yes, CHOPPA is better than SL" or vice versa

You apply this to all classes and we get 2 "identical" factions in terms of spells.

Because I can tell you that there is nothing more frustrating than leveling a character for 6 months and suffering 2 nerfs in a row, forced to put the character in the closet and level another one to stay competitive.
Hence wasted time, frustration, weariness > departure. :(

I hope you understood that I still love this game :) , I've been playing it since 2009, that's why I'm sharing my feelings with you.

greetings.

The very essence of Warhammer is to avoid complete symmetry, with differences designed to foster varied interactions and offer greater opportunities for complementarity. I hope they never follow your suggestion

homogenization kills games. wow homogenized classes and races and suffered for it. WAR always aimed for intentional asymmetry for the purpose of uniqueness.

all classes/specs are viable and strong in their own ways. if you're feeling the need to shelf a character after a nerf or two in order to "stay competitive", then you probably are playing at a skill level where you need to do the exact opposite in all honesty.

atm there is not a single class that is unplayable or needs shelving due to nerfs or being weaker than another, despite what anyone may tell you. this is because it is possible to succeed on any class instead of chasing the meta, but only at a certain level of "skill" or understanding of the game.

people chasing after the "meta" of aoe white lion in warband gameplay is a great example. they often say that slayer is unplayable or bad in warbands, due to some nerfs, when the reality is that slayer is still very strong in all forms of group content including warbands - it simply just isn't blatantly OP anymore like it was with prenerf rampage and people who were babied by how broken it was simply can't learn to play the game outside of that so they reroll to the next strongest thing to "stay competitive". the reality is that almost all of the people doing that are usually average at best and would probably be better off just playing what they enjoy instead of rerolling to chase the meta.

Well as a destro choppa and WE main player, i am leveling my slayer and now i can say slayer is way more better than choppa with shetter limbs and rampage. You can easyly melt healers when you shatter them. I really dont undertand why people complain about choppas because slayers are way more better even choppa has 1 more aoe skill.

I can agree some classes are a bit over powered but in good hands all chars has same potential.

As a conclusion, it is what it is. Play it or leave we dont need drama here.

The only imbalance at the moment is Mara pull vs WL pull.
Fley - Zealot Domoarigobbo - Shaman
Squid - Squig Squit - B.O.

The Choppa / SL mechanic should get a review given the current TTK state. Both classes should have the armor/toughness self-debuffs removed from their class/abilities. They only have 1 role atm, which requires massive support versus most classes which can perform at least 2 roles very well.

Curious what "nerfs" you suffered. If it was some broken crap that should have been fixed years earlier I'll have a good laugh.

My biggest tip to any game, would be to play what you enjoy and what feels smooth. It took me close to 15 years of playing MMOs to realise that... If you continue playing what you enjoy you automatically get better, surround yourself with better people, improve and you can compensate partial nerfes through skill and if you feel your class got nerfed to hard search for a different environment where the nerf does not affect you as much. Different group or wb setup. Judging by the fact that you are a member for 10 years you must have at many some classes between rr70-80, ofc this does not solve your personal problem of wanting mirrors. I personally always liked the small differences between the classes and i am a long time player myself that i bounces between playing casually and hardcore with long breaks, which result in me always having to deal with many buffs and nerfs to the classes i am playing.
