Man, the amount of times a Magus parries my KD...pretty annoying. Anyways, yeah at BiS, an ASW can burst down a Magus, unless they're defensive build. You kind of HAVE to get the jump on a def Magus to even remotely stand a chance, even then it's not assured you'll win the 1v1. I almost exclusively run Lileath's Forgiveness for not only Magus, but basically all dps casters. Seems to help a ton, at least for me.Stinksuit wrote: Sun Aug 03, 2025 3:35 pmI'm sure bis asw can burst magus but I also don't think that's the factor in who wins. I think I could already burst magus down with my current gear but its a matter of getting the jump on magus..sharpblader wrote: Sun Aug 03, 2025 2:04 pmStinksuit wrote: Sat Aug 02, 2025 5:52 pm
Thanks for the kind words, I had (for the most part) quite alot of fun lvling asw.
I think what made it a bit harder for me was the fact that magus counters asw quite hard and magus atm is quite booming class so yeahI think Papik alone killed me like 15x in 1 day of roaming haha

Yes, Magus is strong against most solo specs. Has been like that for a few years I believe. I'm eager to see if a bis aSW can win the DPS race against them. Maybe it might just boil down to who gets lucky with the crits.
Keep up the great work will await the next set of videos!
Unless.. my kd gets parried by the magus! XD that happens way too often ngl where a magus just parries my kd..
Personally I'm not the biggest fan of the way defensives work nowadays but oh well. I've lost few fights because a caster parries my kd
I'm currently running a weird mix of 5 def Sov/4 Triumph. I've tried the 7 piece def Sov for the snare proc, and while the proc is very strong against not only ranged, but melee as well the help maneuver to their backs and keep them from yours, I just ended up deciding it wasn't worth the stats you lose. That said, you can't go wrong with the WL/Triumph, Sov/Triumph,Def Sov/Triumph mixes.
