Instead of hard modes, you should make Solo modes. I can't even find trio for beastlord in EU primetime.
It's good you have some friends at your disposal, but even in big guilds with big online people don't want to waste time on PvE.
Make dungeons fun, do not cosplay WoW.

Re: Upcoming Gunbad Updates + QoL Changes
Well as Natherul said: if you know C# you can help them. As it seems what's missing the most are coders with some free time to implement rvr changes.
And that's probably all there is to it. There simply is no one with enough free time and the right skills to create big pvp patches.

In what way can he not be cheesed? Will he wipe the group? Will he reset if brought too high up the ramps? Will he be immune to damage?Rubius wrote: Fri Nov 14, 2025 3:43 am
- Solithex can no longer be cheesed by pulling him up and into a corner. We also fixed the bug preventing his Soulstone from being targeted. Beyond this, his mechanics were good, so he remains the same.

Re: Upcoming Gunbad Updates + QoL Changes
Changes seem good on paper, both for toning down the newly introduced difficulty in the dungeon and regarding the rewards that come with running it (in the form of higher gold payout from bags for non-2h classes).
However, I would exercise great caution in bringing the number of GB runs back to what it was before the 22/10 rework.
Via the killboard/instances extension we can check the number of GB runs done every day.
A few days before the 22nd we were averaging 17 GB runs per day.
Checking the average over the same period during the last week we see an average of 11 GB runs per day.
Since new player progression hinges on Gunbad, it's not enough to equalize the Gold influx in the economy or just the runtime for the dungeon to what it was before.
You must keep making on changes until we are back to the same number of people willing to run the dungeon daily and help out the new players by doing so.
I expect that there will be a big lag period until the GB runs start to bounce back after the changes from this post are introduced. In general it's harder to please people than to annoy them, and after the evident loss of trust from the 22/10 update it's going to be hard to win it back and motivate them to check the dungeon again.
If you really care about the playerbase (and not about the Dungeon itself as a themepark) you should do everything you can to get the runs back to where they were before, even if takes more carrots or even if you need to go back to the older whip.

―The Antigone of SophoclesRe: Upcoming Gunbad Updates + QoL Changes
It just makes me rage that you don’t do anything to support fair fights because it’s supposedly “too hard” or “too much work.” And if that were actually true, fine — but it really doesn’t seem that way. What makes it worse is that some changes (like adjusting barriers or removing guards) were done in a day.
Removing XP scrolls was the biggest joke anyway. You claimed it was to help new players — sureeeee. In reality, it just makes them hit level 40 faster so they can get permanently farmed as solo pugs. And as brand-new level-40 players with no gear and no experience, they have basically zero chance of getting into a proper group.
Then there’s the open zerging, where they learn absolutely nothing. Half the time, an Engineer turret is more useful than a player who just zergs all the time. I’ve been saying this for years now, and it’s the reason why 90% of new players quit. Most of them queue solo, lose over and over, and eventually just quit the game.
And then people keep repeating the same old “Just build a group” nonsense. I can’t hear it anymore. This is a PvP game — there’s nothing else like it out there — and yet for years it feels like all you’re doing is making it easier for premades to farm randoms instead of improving the actual experience.
You haven’t really done anything for new players, except maybe introducing Crests so they can get gear a bit faster. Everything else has just been your focus on open RvR zerging. I still remember, like 8 years ago, when I got the answer: “We don’t care about SCs, our focus is on open RvR.”
The funniest part is that one or two years later, you suddenly introduced ranked.
I don’t even want to attack you with this, but it makes me both sad and frustrated that you are ruining the game in so many aspects, all that’s left is seeing who has the bigger AoE blob, and then these so-called “BiS” characters go into PvE or SCs and can’t even handle the most basic things.
Let’s hope that the changes you’re currently working on will finally make a real difference and allow the game to focus more on fair PvP again. No one would play CS if it was 2v5 all the time — the same goes for any other game.
And again, I don’t want to attack you in any way, but the last few weeks of solo pugging have brought me close to another breaking point where I’ll end up quitting for a few months again.

Re: Upcoming Gunbad Updates + QoL Changes
Rubius wrote: Fri Nov 14, 2025 3:43 am This update will also add Hard Mode options for the Wing Bosses and some new Quality-of-life improvements, like an increase in gold payout for One-handed weapon classes, across the board.
Separate from the Dungeon balance, we're also trialing a new Goldsink feature that will allow players to spend some of that extra gold on a buff that will apply to their entire party for 2 hours while inside the Dungeon. If feedback is positive, we may expand this to additional Dungeons, like Bastion Stair, City Dungeons, and more.
Really cool to match gold for everyone ; it should bring more tanks
(Adding gold for BS/LV bosses could be nice too)
On the new buff ; Every group will surely take it and aim for a better dps
Maybe it's better to make it free + individual so all dps and healers can benefit
Or simply grant a totally random group buff so people won't disagree
Another idea for pve : Make Xp scrolls = -100% less Xp
Any pve (especially Mayhem/Ruin farm) give too many
Since a lvl 40 will lock Xp ; would be great to have the same option when group is full low level
Also, on a Sewer carry, someone wanted to complete his quest but first wing had reset
Could be nice to add few more time on instance reset (when bosses are defeated)
Off-subject for PvP ;
City is the most urgent imo > Only had 1 good fight over a year
Make it 6people max premade could help to prevent 24 premade against full pug
(+ allow people to join on each phase)
Thanks a lot, looking forward the new dungeon and new skins

Re: Upcoming Gunbad Updates + QoL Changes
As Nath stated, the goal is to give people like me more access to the Lua scripting and database side in PVP so we can add things quicker. They are working on that right now along with matchmaking.saupreusse wrote: Fri Nov 14, 2025 7:01 pm Well as Natherul said: if you know C# you can help them. I’m glad everyone is enjoying the hardmode and the different dungeon mechanics. There are hours of work put into each boss, and we try to build it so anyone that comes after me can tweak the code with ease, whether they want to raise the difficulty or lower it.
