Are classes that received significant changes less than a week ago dominating popularity? Is this surprising? Obviously, these are just trials and tests for the majority. Look at this statistic in a month, and you'll have a more accurate idea of class popularity. Personally, WE has lost ground compared to WH. WE's DPS, regardless of build, has dropped significantly (10-15%). The variety of tactical options is also less. WH, on the contrary, has improved. Overall, it's playable, but I personally don't see the point in this "balance." The patch is so-so.

The lake is filled with ''Def WE's'', aka tank we's, a plague which has made gameplay toxic. Order players hate them( due to obvious reasons of these witches being OP in some regards) and fotm players love them. Now ''real'' players of the class may have very different opinions, some wanted a DPS class to actually be about DPS updade.
WH is the correct way to balance a DPS class with srealth, squishy, deadly. WE( def spec) is the wrong way to balance such a class, devs did not address this and the issue is still there, dominant Def WE spec, aka troll spec, otherwise worse than the WH ( real dps, glass cannon).
Hence the contradiction in opinions here and the actual game right now which is swarmed with def we's.

For me, the only changes I'd like to see on witch elf are decreasing pounce cd and increase the range of RA for 15fts.

Offtopic, but thats mostly thanks do Tegridy and their "player" stacking. They are getting farmed if they don't blob in US timezone. That's a great site and proves something I've always suspected. Destro has pop advantage in T2+, but Order gets more kills than Destro in the lakes. Always felt Order is more dominant in T2+, good to see this hunch is correct. Debunks the morons talking about Destro being the stronger realm, clearly not the case, Order owning it.

Not quite sure how 5 WEs jumping someone proves a class isn't weak. If my def magus runs into a 5 man, I'm not expecting to win/live and I certainly won't be calling that 5 man op when they kill me.

Players are getting jumped by 5 WE/WHs since stealth was 30secs!
sure, there is mores WE/WH online now! Everyone is brewing and testing the so long "dps patch"
The patch basically killed carnage tree and it shorten the numbers of possible builds.
- The pounce is ultra bad design (WEs want to stay on the ground, not jumping around or flying)
The patch wants the WE to be in your face spec all the time and dish DPS while nerf of EOIP is big! 25% less. Shorten all the range on finishers and EOIP speed buff is gone as soon some skills is used? Hello?
There is no build to acutely make use of Weapon Skill. I've played WE for many years and the most fun build was carnage, slice, oyk,Ra, shadows. The build was there, it was perfect and had synergy.. everything made a lot of sense, agony, bleeding edge, range on RA, EOIP. It wasn't even OP, it had to invest alot into weapon skill in order to slice/ra/oyk hit for real damage.
Now it's basically chase non stop, with pounce and spam AW+SS, WEs will play it now, but I doubt many will stick to this boring gameplay. Proff is even after "amazing dps" patch countless of WEs still running that regen crap.
Solution:
- Remove pounce
+ EOIP speed buff won't brake if any skilled is used
+ Restore old EOIP values 50%
+ Slice/razor has to hit for harder
+ Range on RA, 30ft t's a channeling spell.
There you go, players can play Carnage again.

We population is probably higher now than any other class. Most WEs havent figured out how to pllay after the changes. The class is still in a good place. Everyone just wants to mash 2 buttons and expect to kill everything in 2 sec. I can count on my 1 hand how many actually skilled wes are out there.

People are quoting population spikes after a major DPS patch, 1vX ganks and kneejerks to try and rationalize their ignorance lmao.
If u have never touched the Witch Elf class I see no reason for you to be commenting on the balance of the class. U fail to understand on a fundamental level that the class' design is around FINISHERS and st burst DPS from stealth, not around Regen or pounce or dots.
All I see when I look at the Witch Elf trees are elixirs with their effects spread, a miriad of useless tactics and 2 good finishers.
The class is for sure still ok DPS wise, if u exclusively focus on mid+right tree. The left tree is absolute garbage and only useful for aoe.
The biggest bafflement I face with the bunch of you is your defiance with the return of the 30ft finisher range. Not a single one of you complained post patch about this, seems really weird to do so now xD.

After the dps patch my first impression about WE was good until I play WH. these are more or less mirror classes but it feels like WH now way more strong then WE. Since WE lost range of his finishers and reduced dmg of her finishers its not worth to play anymore. So as a WE main i will protest the current balance between WH/WE and i stop playing my witch elf.
I invite all the witch elves to join me and stop playing their WE's.
