many things are definitely wrong about the class and everybody arguing the class is alright, because monstro apparently works in large scale/rvr just denies that the class does have two other ability trees as well. Brutality is dead, overnerfed stance procs, pathetic mobility overall, questionable, contradictory mechanics (e.g. see brut stance amplifying autoattacks <->convulsive slashing denying auto attacks???!), CC locked behind stances due to past changes to the class (e.g. Concussive Jolt requring monstro strance?), things that just don't work properly (Gut Ripper <->Flail interaction?), Savagery proc that never crits (why?), questionable tactics, Impale ability nerfed to an unnecessary extent (why may Torment exist?)...I could go on with this. My 80+ mara will still be layed to rest and collect dust until something is done to give the class alternatives instead of being a AOE fluff damage bot.

I haven't had enough time with the rework to have an informed opinion on the changes. I have been having success with a few combinations of the new tactic's, etc. However there are a few lingering issues I can speak on. Firstly, procs from gifts lingered on stance change w/o a tactic on live and in the early years of this server. Second is the clunkiness of the stances and abilities that are only usable in certain stances. It wouldn't be a problem if not for the 5 second cooldown on stances.

I'll take the bait.

1. insane crit chance stats of around 50% (in warlord gear. you push 60%+ in cookie cutter sov)
2. 3 guaranteed crits through gut ripper and guillotine with insanely high tooltip damage
3. 156 str / toughness selfbuff for 20 seconds
4. 25% dmg increase off gcd
5. wounds debuff that got buffed even more in last patch with very decent tooltip damage still
6. Impale giga buffed from a nerfed meh ability to a powerhouse hardhitter ignoring all armor and guaranteed crit with gut ripper
7. Guillotine tooltip giga buffed
8. Flail in brut tree now so buff to very decent anytimer as well that can proc procs on both hits as well now
9. big armor debuff - undefendable!
10. stackable strong dot for grinding
11. wave of terror for slight moral gain decrease for free
12. ranged pull
13. brut proc letting you crit for around 3k with AAs with a BO aa dmg buff and your own buff for 10 seconds.
14. All of that on a MEDIUM ARMOR dps class
15. 25% healdebuff as filler

Sure - you need a 2nd dps with hd to make a functioning group. But its a group game, so that shouldn't be too hard.
Piercing bite is nerfed, yeah. But If you actually know how to play the game or are willing to learn how to play it it's a non issue.

So please. Either put some effort into TRYING to get information on how to succeed with that class or refrain from doing these abysmal forum posts. Mara is literally THE meta smallscale dps with dps dok and has been for a long time now. It's a powerhouse in the right hands that will demolish almost everything.

If you are actually trying to get better at playing that class pm me. Listen. And stop complaining about a giga buffed medium armor S Tier mdps.

That's neat. You know how to read tooltips. All of these things are obtainable labyrinth other classes. I can give you a laundry list of stuff that sounds great in a vacuum. But the game is not a vacuum. Other classes have tools too...

for the post above, it is possible to sort capabilities of any class like this.
Any class is S tier if you know how to play.

These are my recent experience below for mara:
After the changes, it is not possible to be tanky and do insane damage as in past so if you wanna do damage, need to drop def stats and focus offensive stats more.
Str/melee power damage scale is sucks for mara and damage is coming from high armor pen and crit so try to get more ws and crit chance as possible.
Because of low str, your base damage will be low against low armor classes but you will able to hit crit more often so this will cover your low str.

Mara is hardcore class. If you wanna easy win, play dps dok/wp.

What vacuum are you talking about exactly? All of the above is available and achievable in one spec. What‘s your marauder name ingame so we can find out what you need to improve on?

Or you can just keep complaining about non existent issues and grief yourself by not playing the strongest dps in game currently for small scale.

That sounds like you are talking about solo gameplay. Why would any class be able to be tanky and do insane damage. What exactly are you complaining about here? I am talking about small scale group gameplay with other people enhancing your gaming experience.

The only other class more tanky than Mara from a dps pov is dps dok on destro. So yeah. I‘ll stop here. If you guys really believe Mara is not borderline broken in small scale currently nobody can help you. I tried to enlighten you. Expected nothing else to be honest. If anyone actually wants to play the class in a smallscale group setting and be successful, you know where to find me.
