It seems that with the fixed scavenging leveling, Destruction still has the set-back of not getting past 150 scav/125 talisman making with the lack of level 25+ mobs. With the level 30+ mobs hitting harder than a freight train even if you're being healed (along with level 15+ heroes), we probably won't see many people obtaining level 150-175 materials on either side, although meanwhile Order can still scavenge and kill level 25+ mobs on their side to get to the Minor tier of talismans (green +11, blue +15, purple +19).
If people do get to bridge the gap between level 30-35 for scavenging 175+ and talisman making 150+ on Order's side before Destruction can even catch up to that lower level due to the lack of level 25+ mobs, it might result in a slight imbalance. We're capped at level 20 talismans at the moment, and these must be slotted in level 20 armor, of which the max stat can be +20 on a purple. The level 16 talismans can be slotted in level 16 gear and above, resulting in a maximum of +19 with a purple talisman either forged from a purple 125 fragment or lucky crit on a blue. +17 talismans seem to be the maximum for Destruction in the game's current state, but...
With the coming of Devastator armor (which is going to have a minimum of level 24), people can theoretically get +21 purple and +17 blue talismans on the Major tier. These can be commonly crafted from level 175 fragments, so if Order groups do manage to farm level 30-35 mobs, they have a +4 stat advantage over Destruction. Not even taking into account the extra power people can add to their talismans when Salvaging gets added; the current lack of level 25 mobs on Destruction's sight seems disconcerning for future updates in which we'll get access to RvR gear with talisman slots and set bonuses.
So, I'd simply like to address that balancing scavenging and talisman making for both realms, no matter if they farm for 150/175 fragments and skill levels, it's not going to be pretty for Destruction as long as we're slacking behind. Even with level 25/50 blue/purple fragments dropped from low-level heroes and champions we can only make a max of +18 purples and +14 blues -if- we had level 25 NPCs at our disposal right now. An advantage that some people on Order have already seen, and are currently focusing themselves on.
Also, this is just about the actual droprate for blue/purple fragments on level 100... I've heard Nalgol said the droprate for blues on common NPCs should be 2%, yet I haven't seen a single 100 blue/purple fragment after 200+ Bloodfiend Marauder kills, except for a blue level 100 armor nugget some pesky Marauder got. Is this 2% droprate true, or did the idea get scrapped? I managed to kill the level 13 hero at the Wayshrine PQ for Destruction, and it gave me a purple level 50 frag, so I assume the heroes' scavenging droptable and rates are actually there. Yet, for level 20+ mobs they seem either extremely low or simply non-existent. Can it be confirmed what the actual rate for these is, at the moment?

Not always, we had mobs that dropped Bloody gear in IC, and they didn't have access to them in Altdorf. The devs added mobs to Altdorf so both realms could be on a more even playing field.BloodyBakala wrote:why everything is better for order always?

I totally agree with this suggestion, +1.
A small difference in talis can be a big difference once the actual fight starts.

This aint as big an issue as you make out at the moment, order having it easier to slot talis with 1 or 2 extra stat points at best..come on..dafuq is wrong with you. further more devastator armor ? sure like to know where you get your info.RyanMakara wrote:It seems that with the fixed scavenging leveling, Destruction still has the set-back of not getting past 150 scav/125 talisman making with the lack of level 25+ mobs.
