Dungeon reset times

I am wondering what the deeper meaning is behind the 18h lockout.

I assume it's to allow flexibility but I think it has the opposite effect.

Some days (most days) I for one am able to play during evening EU hours but occasionally during the day, whilst not being able to in the evening. If on day 1 I get a group together in the evening I will not be able to do the same dungeon the next day, during the day.

I think you should consider adopting the "fixed reset time" model, as many other games have. Since it is an international server, sometime late evening/early night US time, early morning EU; would probably fit for the most part.

This would allow people with different playing schedules to be able to do the "daily" content (for the most part).

Cheers.

Would destroy the economyif no lockout at all, like tryhard GB group do 2 runs an hour, but yes a lockout around 6h would be enought i think. No fixed time, what happens when u start like 30min before fixed reset happens. Half reset, half u need to wait.

I agree that an 18-hour lockout can actually make scheduling harder.

I can see the issue with the 18-hour lockout. While it gives players some flexibility, it can actually make daily content harder to fit around changing schedules.

A lot of commentators missed the point of OP entirely, the dungeon lockout should be 12 or 24 hours so you could run it again next day in similar hours, he is not asking for reduction in the reset timer or something else

Mate 10 years ago, we were doing 13 city dungeons and 13 bastion runs for each toon to get last reward and lockout was 7 days. I complete my 10 toons painfully. Now you can complete all pve in 4 days in theory. So no need to change it. I think people can do it every 2 days if time zone is the problem. Its not a big deal.

18 hours is beyond too easy to gear already through pve, I can not see us ever going down. My personal preference would be a longer lock out, but that's just me.

I see my post from November somehow got some traction, many months later.

But yes, the TL;DR of the post was not whether 18 hours was/is "too long" or not. It is literally just that it can feel punishing if you have alternating play times, whereas a fixed reset time (every morning at 8cest for instance) would in many scenarios "fix" the issue.
