Remember, you still get medallions from players killed in the RvR lake so even the underdog will earn something. And if the underdog are the defenders then they'll earn more than the attackers unless the attackers can take the keep and lock the zone.
The whole point is to make it so that there is no incentive to flood a faction just to win since doing so will result in no RvR action (just PvE keep takes) and therefore no medallions. Once that ratio get down to a more reasonable number (40:60 for example) the defenders will have some protection of numbers (even if they're still outnumbered) so that they can mount an effective keep defence. You've probably been involved in a 6-8man keep defence against a WB or two yourself. Once inside the keep you don't need overwhelming numbers to succeed. If you have 1/2 the numbers defending compared to attackers you've got a solid shot at pulling it off.

yes but this wont give any reward with ne lock reward based on kills now. so defending also NEEDS to be done not only dps racing.

AND combined with "3 bos lock the zone" there is another incentive to battle over the third bo. could result into very intense fightings!

I'm sorry Asarael, but sitting here arguing how bad the old system was, isn't a good solution right now. One of the factions are literally dying as we speak. The new system, as I said multiple times several days ago, is worse than the old one.

At this point I don't care what you do, just do something, other than argue with the players.

uh im sorry, this is the totally wrong aproach "just do something no matter how wrong you think it is". You cant be serious.

this needs thinking, this needs ideas, this need discussion. and this thread is really really cool right now, dont destroy it!

ok i didnt get the point that kills still get medaillions on a chance. still i like the idea of different ways to lock the zone VERY much ;)

Yes it will be a lose-lose situation. Who will stay on the losing side to provide renown to ppl who change to the winner team. It's a spiral.
Your suggestion requires loser locks.
Dying is no option.

You are right, but at this point, ANYTHING is better than the currency system. Yes, even the old one. A reversation of the system would be a vast improvement over what we have now.

Spawning in the keep would be a HUGE disincentive to killing the defenders
Yea speakin of incentive, have you actually been to a keep defense in the last 15 hours? There's absolutely no point atm to defend, apart from some player kills with a droprate of, what, 5%? Which is then ofc rolled on by 10-20 ppl...
If you have 1/2 the numbers defending compared to attackers you've got a solid shot at pulling it off.
I totally agree. Only now, it's 1/4 of the numbers at best...

It seems even engaging with the community isn't good enough these days.

We are literally here in this thread looking for a damn solution. I've already made it perfectly clear that we won't be going back to keep trading, so please forget about that completely.

The keep medallion reward and the medallions / gear already earned have been removed while we decide what to do.

if we wanna save the current system ( sigh :roll: ), you could make some adjustement like make

1-after a keep siege start you have 15 min to take down door (you still need to have 3 flag to have door attackable), after that door reset.
2-defend in those 15 min reward with 3 medallions ( 5 should always be for attack cos def it's easier when have same numbers)
3-drop the keep un-attackable status when zone unlock from 15 to 10 min
4-if all flags get cap by other faction keep auto def.
5- renow /medallion/exp reduction based on aao


not like these are good ideas but are the only ways to correct this system some ppl so much vlaue :/
