T3 delayed until lag fix . Goal impossible ?

Ok I am a long time WAR player.. I have said it in a previous post that I have played since the first round of beta way back when... One thing I can say is that Mythic even with EA's help ,( if you can call anything EA does to a company help ) Even with 100's of programmers . Even with millions and millions of dollars at their disposal . One thing they never were able to fix was lag..( maybe poor coding ? ) So when the ROR team says T3 is delayed until the lag is fixed. When I look that up in my thesaurus . I see T3 will never launch on ROR .

I realize we have new tech these days and stuff but minus the hundreds of programmers, and millions of dollars, How long do you guys think its gonna take to get the server where you want it for T3 ?

On to the suggestion part of the post .. :) Would it be possible to launch T3 and restrict the level of players entering the zones to 26 + . That will spread out the player base throughout three tiers of game play. You folks have come sooooo damn far in the the last year that I do think you will prolly beat the lag problem. And with T3 being ( personally ) the funnest tier in all of WAR ( again my opinion ) And knowing that it all done and ready for deployment is making T2 less and less fun everyday...

Sounds like an excuse because they aren't finished developing Tier 3.

Either that or they're hoping that a lot of players will quit, freeing up the peak hour lag.

One thing is for certain, RoR won't last long if the population continues to rise along with server costs.

I don’t think that you should just go make assumptions of behind the scenes or the devs capabilities

The devs are not such type of people that they would make up a bogus reason just to “delay” t3 neither nor do they have a set release schedule nor any deadlines to meet

according to the dev diary t3 is ready to be deployed. only thing i have to agree with you is that people already consider quitting. and thats only because of how dull the classes are in t2 (hi @3-4 button rotation and literally 0 utility skills / only 2 tactic slots).
but imo there are bigger issues than not releaseing t3 atm. e.g. the tedious grind to level @26 and after that rr40 + overpriced costs for the sc weapons but well im getting off the track and start to rant.

I don't know the Devs personally but I'm sure they wouldn't be tasking out to fix the lag before implementing T3 if they didn't think they could handle it.

It is not an impossible goal. We are not aiming to fix all lag time for all time ever, but rather to address the current capacity issues far enough that we are comfortable that T3 can release and the server will be able to handle the influx of players that T3 will inevitably bring. Will it be a 100% lag-free experience? No. But it will be better than if it were to be released while there are known capacity issues outstanding.

We know T3 is highly anticipated. A lot of us put a lot of work into it. We want it out there too. We are working on removing the obstacles for this to happen. Please be patient.

so do you have any ideas whats causing the massive 20sec-60sec lags at keep sieges at the prime time? is it just because there are too many people clumped in one zone or is it the massive input of abilitys spammed by players at the same time?

Its not just the dev diary, but the preview video series shows that the zones are ready and back in the day on 05/22/2015 there was an update released that had a bug that gave every one access to every single ability, morale and tactic the class could get, even mastery ones and a vast majority of them were working

So a lot of t3 content is indeed ready but the lag needs to be looked at as t3 realse will result in a population explosion

I, for one, have noticed there is much more of a problem with lag being clumped in a warband, riding the Renown-O-Coaster. Solo, or with a 6 man, there is very little aside from the occasional hiccup.

That being said, the dev's are good guys, and probably working harder than you think to get this resolved, and while T3 may be ready, the server itself isn't. Chill, let them do their thing, they're trying to give you quality, and you guys are screaming for quantity.
