We all know there's a lot of issues with Pets right now but one of the most irritating issues for me isn't even an alpha issue, just a poor mechanic by the original WAR devs.
Having to re-summon the squig is very irritating, especially after your character dies and it goes on a 30sec cooldown (the most annoying in scenarios).
So, my suggestion is; would it be possible to make Squigs a Toggle? by that I mean the Squig would be by the SH side all the time unless it is directly killed, then it would go on a 30sec cooldown and automatically respawn by the SHs side again?
Is this doable? As a SH this sounds great. Would other SHs feel the same?

Re: SH Pet Idea/Fix?
Part of balancing a SH is by making the pet a feature you must manage, control, and utilize spells through the pet to be efficient. You have abilities in your skill line that allows instant summon of next squigs, so I don't see this as necessary.
Re: SH Pet Idea/Fix?
The instant summon of other squigs doesn't have any effect on what I was saying. The cooldown will still be there and dying and waiting for the 30sec cooldown will still be there and also as a SH you want to keep whichever Squig your spec enhances out, not just some random squig for the sake of having one out.Russiancrushian wrote:Part of balancing a SH is by making the pet a feature you must manage, control, and utilize spells through the pet to be efficient. Re: SH Pet Idea/Fix?
Squigs, and pets in general, should act like a stance dance...no AP and instant cast. The timer for death is fine, but the cost and movement penalty are costly. Yes, earing or exploding means instant cast, but that even MOAR AP!

Re: SH Pet Idea/Fix?
I do agree that the summon ability its self should not use AP. But, if you remove cool down from resummoning, you just let your spike squig lay into people and if it starts to take damage, just toggle it on quick bar for an instant, brand new spike squig to send in? Just seems a little absurd.
