in zerg fight u would be staggered less than intended duration. hell its even less that 3 sec already in zerg fights

by increasing the duration AND the immunity, enemies would love engis and magis

do not know if u even participate in any keep sieges but ammount of BWs spamming aoe , followed by engis, on the other side sorcs (magis are quite rare atm, though it require only 1 magus to apply aoe dot to whole bunch of players) its pretty much laughable to think stagger might actually last full duration of 3 secs atm
My main on live was a magus (deleted my bw not even a month after released and switched), and I used to play one here until I saw a surge of Magi running around wasting DI and giving everyone free immunity (in sc's mostly). Pretty sure Peterpan's main was a Magus and possibly Sulorie's too. There's plenty of times that I have been staggered for a full 3 seconds. Paper WAR doesn't work, not on this game not on any other game.

Magi are not rare on this server at all, not anymore anyways. Stagger does not need to be 9 seconds, but if it does get buffed back to 9s then the immunity should be a lot longer.

Magus becomes "above average" in the "1v1" department with RR and proper gear. But uh...the best? No. Also, MANY other classes have capable 1v1 potential once they reach a certain RR and get geared, this isn't exclusive to the magus class.

I never said it should be back to 9 sec. original 9 sec was indeed overkill (especially on chosen and knobs).

I remember we were proposing 5-6 sec duration of engi land mine stagger before blanket CC nerf and most players were fine with that.

if it would be possible to increase duration by 3 secs I see no need at all to increase immunity timer. remember its on ability that :
a) can be "cleansed" by engi and magus
b) break on any dmg recevied - fluffy aoe, tick of already applied dot
c) its abiltiy of engi and magus class ... :D

keg is nice as support abiltiy to outheal some dots
its the best rr leech ability in whole game
its powerfull when several engis use it
it wont save you at all vs. focus fire or even heavy ST dmg

full turtle spec means horrible physical dmg

in mix of def and off sov its doable to run turtle solo engi and kill (especially vs players with worse rr and equip)
in old t3 with r39 and bugged lotd souls (especially absorb tali) it was possible also
in current t2 and t3 you would be killed unless u outgear and heavily outskill your enemy

You don't win, when the enemy isn't fighting you and just goes away, because with such low dmg, even non healers say bye and maybe take a heal potion.

Have seen skilled rr 100 magus nearly lose to rr 80ish DPS Runepriest. Not to mention DPS AM, or good and geared WH, or White lion(maybe a tie here). I think Magus is great vs tanks, slayers, WPs, BWs. Probably a tie or lose against good SWs and engineers.

As was mentioned before. Warhammer never was about 1v1. The class tweaking should be made with maximum precaution and focus on party/wb/ realm balance.

IDK abt later, but early on, I wouldn't say Engi is the worst class, by a long shot, unless they depreciate heavily in T2. That one burst it has is insane. Seems to be a 1 min cycle on it, so I'm assuming it's a Morale, but still, it has hit me for a good 75% or more in some cases. Ofc, they are not the 100% star of the AoE exploit show, like they were before LoS got fixed, so maybe the only ppl left in the class are those who play it just because they find it neat in concept, but still. . . Nvr seemed a bad class to me. Only classes I don't worry abt facing as much are SM and WL (aside from the damnable Pounce) and, to a lesser extent, KotBS, tho they can hit hard.
