This has been considered internally for some time now, long before this thread came up, and we have been discussing possible solutions. Good on you guys for thinking about it, but we've had... plenty of time... to be circumspect about T3.
It's interesting to me though, how the first concern is rifting melee players into the keep, whom were previously banging on the door. These classes whom already have a hard time being hit by AOE through the door, because of no LOS check.
Nobody considered counter-rifting players out of the keep, into the zerg, so that players can wail on the door in relative safety. This is a bug and will get fixed and all that, but it works both ways.
By all means, continue to bicker about the severity of the problem, but remember it's getting looked at.

Didn't even think of this, LOL. You are correctGenisaurus wrote:This has been considered internally for some time now, long before this thread came up, and we have been discussing possible solutions. Re: Disable Rift/Electromagnet prior to releasing t3
Genisaurus, I agree with you.
I think the main reason people are concerned about rifting INTO keeps is because when they die there is no way to rez them because no LOS (unless you can rez through doors because they don't count as LOS?).
Being rifted OUT of the keep and dying will probably place you in rez range from the keep.
But yes, it goes both ways.

I kinda am, ty for noticing. When i see something in the game i usually try to adapt and find a counter, instead of coming to the forums and cry.Renork wrote:No, let's just all follow Penril's idea and leave it as it is, because clearly he is such a superior being and is pro at "maneuvering" situations. 2016PENRIL
Re: Disable Rift/Electromagnet prior to releasing t3
Ya, I saw and I agree. Ideally the fix would be fixing los, as I state the obvious. It's not like the devs can wave a magic wand and make this happen tho.Renork wrote:Azarael already mentioned he can disable it in certain situations, so that would be an ideal temp. fix.
The only issue I have with disabling rift near the door while it's still up is for those defending the keep who aren't inside it. Those playing the postern game. Who hit the zerg from the side, but near the keep doors.

If Penril was a SC; he would be Twisting Tower.

I will one day <3 patients with your mentality. Who cares about being preventive anymore amirite? Don't think anyone here is crying, but are instead suggesting something in order to prevent people from crying, oh awesome one.
Re: Disable Rift/Electromagnet prior to releasing t3
To be fair, he is right. A good team will have a very good chance to win against the lowbies/solo players/not so seasoned inside the door. This also supports your argument to have rift disabled near doors.Renork wrote:Penril wrote:Premade attacks the door.
Premade gets rifted inside.
Premade slaughters enemies on the first floor, while the mdps from their realm get inside from the postern.
Your realm now has full control of the keep's first floor.
And this right here is why no one should take you seriously. Your ego is so up your rear that you think your "premades" are god's gift to the mmo community.
Edit: woops I forgot to add. Pounce bro?

Re: Disable Rift/Electromagnet prior to releasing t3
Genisaurus pretty much confirmed what i was saying: they know about this and are looking for a way to fix it. In the meantime you should consider a counter (rifting them OUTSIDE the keep, what a lovely idea!).

Did he confirm that they are working on a solution? Yes.
Did he confirm that we should deal with it and getg00d as you suggested? No.
