Improving the 2H blackguard playstyle

Its no small secret that 2h black guard is inferior to SnB blackguard in many ways, you give up a lot of things and get little in return and whatever 2h bg can do, dps spec snb bg can do more or less much better.

However as it is right now, with the changes made to SM and black orcs kd's; BG is the only tank in the game now who dosnt have access to or can spec into a knockdown while using a 2h and this should be remedied if nothing else but for consistency

The simplest solution is to make blade of ruin into a mirror of cave in, which would also encourage bg's to spec an ability that they would otherwise never touch

While im well aware that 5s KD with spiteful slam is far superior to a 3s kd, it would be a big step in making the playstyle more viable, any other changes 2h bg needs to be considered "equal" to SnB bg can be discussed at a later time

I would move Wave of Scorn for Elite Trainin since KoBS and IB can use AoE snares at this point while Chosens and BG's can't (Black Orks can with Big Brawlin' but losing their KD).

Big Swing (used for Big Brawling') is a level 35 ability so BOs can't AOE snare yet

(Not saying it should be changed or anything)

2hander kotbses don't have access to knockdown as well. Just saying :)

Stop trolling. No shield requirement for Knight's kd.

Seconded. Wave of Scorn swapped with Elite Training makes sense in so many ways (It's basically Oathstone but Parry) and the BG tank tree has some AP issues. It would also give a strong utility ability the 2H BG pretty easily in their spec, making them a stronger tool.

Also, to the OP, Seconded.

This is the build I used with a Knight on live, 2H or SnB.

Furthermore, SM's, Blorcs and Chosen have to spec 9pt in their tank tree to have a knockdown.

Blade of Ruin is a 5pt ability with no weapon requirement which requires Block or Parry. Guard feeds this requirement to all tanks for free, so you're essentially granting another KD to S&B BGs, not just the two-handed ones. If you want a conditional KD depending on whether the user has a two-hander equipped, I can do that, but you need to decide if having this ability at 5pts is balanced.

Just wanted to point that out. I'm all for giving use to useless abilities.
