Well, Dark Blessings is a solid situational tactic in T1 and T2. Once HoTs become strong, it loses its edge...
/edit: There would a potential in Malekith's Bulwark (reduces magic dmg to 75 % and all heals to 85 %) + Dark Blessings combo if Dark Blessings were affecting HoTs.

Whenever I see a sorc or we with Bathing In Blood something dies inside me.

Can we atleast allow "Dark Blessings" affect all (self-healing abilities) of Dark Elfs , but for all incoming heal from others players -to boost only direct ones.

The absorb empire tactic is probably the most useful of all racial 11 lvl tactcs. Still using it. At level 31 it's 300absorb every 3 sec.Hatered wrote:1st racial Delfs tactic is completely stupid and noone uses it, I agree

At least it must be changed to get 10% more healing from any heals, not only direct.
P.S. there is not too many racial 11 lvl tactics, what have a place in the endgame builds. Maybe dwarfs and GS tactics and this is all

I play mostly a BG and a DoK and I would never be caught dead with either of the Dark Elf tactics slotted.

This game has so many just total dogshit tactics and abilities that make me wonder why they where allowed to exist for so long in the state they are in. This tactic is a prime example, same with the other dark elf "10% increased healing from direct heals"
Knight has a tactic that literally gives 15% more healing for your entire **** group that also doesn't discriminate against HoT's iir.
And speaking on Dark elves and knights... BG's 13 point ability crimson death is another example. The knight has 2 mechanisms to increase crit for the group by 10%, both of those have virtually 100% uptime and cannot be defended against. But crimson death can be blocked/parried etc... and to top it all off at best it has a 50% uptime.
Knight has similar problems in their 2h/dps tree as well with staggering impact having terrible uptime and damage for something that is not even that powerful that it would warrant it. And both BG and Knight have those awful dogshit 3 sec channel abilities that just make me angry thinking about them.

Talking about sucky tactics... the tank tactic Focused Offense. 15% more damage but 33% armor less. I vote this as the worst tactic in the game.

It is not the worst tactic in the game. This tactic serves just no purpose in PvP and was high likely never designed for it. It's only useful for PvE content (instances, dungeons) when you need to fill a DD spot in your group, but only a tank is available. So theoretically the FO tank could add a bit to the groups damage output without getting aggro and could still guard the maintank if needed. Complaining about the usefulness of FO in PvP would be the same as complaining about the usefulness of the DD/healer aggro-reduce tactics in PvP.
P.S. please keep in mind that the initial PvE content was not balanced around "overequipped" players who complete PvE content easily with only 1 tank/1 healer in the group (e.g. a bunch of "barely 40s" running with green gear into the "bastion stair").

The cost of FO is not just the 33% armor, it's also the opportunity cost of a different tactic. Even in PvE, that's not necessarily worth it, especially when those other tactics would actually increase your overall damage more than 15%. When used in PvE as an off-tank, the best possible place to use it, it's still a bad tactic. Not the worst by any means, but bad.Luth wrote:It is not the worst tactic in the game.
