If the thread is a regular thread, post less than five words asking for cosmetic features.
Style is -everything- !! ;)

I woinder tho.. I was a big fan of the crossbow as I normally ran around looking like a dwarf ranger. it had one downside tho: it made gun shot sounds instead of a bow sound. How does adding sounds to a weapon work?

Those aren't bolts it's firing, they're tiny rockets. The gunshot noise is the primary fuel igniting.

well not like we need totaly out of sense apperenace change, just like

Some 2h can change appereance to 1h and viceversa, also lots of chosen armor in game from npc that would make chosen player so happy (cos everyone have his god you know).

Not just chosen, If i remember some knight dwarf/ ork have cool stuff that would be cool to share as apperence itiems only. Definetly something cool for future :)

Yes, I already talked somewhere about adding an appearance system for getting special stuff.

For example:

Different quests and when you completed one you will get a special token (1 token = 1 piece) to buy special appearance at a vendor with it. (no panic PvP quests and PvE quests :P ). Also players could drop that tokens or heroes in instances or dungeons.

But most stuff is for T3/T4 so no need to discuss the system yet.

This sounds really promising. :)

I think appearance is important if somebody has a little aesthetic/design RP style. So +1 for it.

Is it possible to see appearance items on enemy players too? instead of just friendly players.

According to the Designer Devs of the Old Game:
The Idea for appearance is that you and your side see yourself as you change the appearance.
For Game playing issues, and for the enemy who sees who he is fighting against it makes absolutely sense that he sees the original stuff you are wearing.

In my personal opinion it matters not. If I see six destro players I'm trying to kill everyone of them. It doesn't matter to me if the chosen one has a Toughness or Wound bonus Armour. He is a tank so he is tough. Maybe I start with the one who looks like T1, but when you are running around with level 30 you are fighting against other players with level 30 and the gear of that level.

As far as I know the devs have their hands full on rebuilding the stuff that once works. And they will do that for quite some time. So making appearance work as it was, is a nearer goal than a new demand in function.

@Crossbows:
Seeing a bolt flying out of a Crossbow would be great. But I think the animation, like the Bullet from the "Gun-Blast" Action is not coded to the Item, but to the action. That's why in the old game, if you had the khemri Crossbow you still shot bullets out of it.

@The Engineers T1 Helmet.
The T1 NPC Engineers have this flappy cap as a helmet. Back in the old Game there was a quest in the marshes of madness where you could obtain it as an Engineer. Please bring this back as the "3rd Bitterstone Thunderers" need that cap as their government issue headgear. ;)
