Here's a blast from the past; "looking for 'good' Altdorf". When people said looking for 'good' Altdorf what did they mean exactly? I distinctly remember mass evacuation of Altdorf, on Destro's part anyway, the minute Order had more than 2 parties. I remember because it irritated me to no end that people didn't wait until we had wiped at least once, so the memory has been etched into my brain. Think you guys a bit too nostalgic about RvR on official server, it just wasn't like this in my experience.

City wasnt seen as rvr by most just as something that could be exploited to get the best gear for the actual rvr in the lakes and scs.

When you create a game obsessed with the arms race you will have people exploit as that's part of winning it. Same thing we've seen with obsessive cloak farming here. All the lakes are now is AM and WH trying to out time searing touch and absolution each other.

most of the old city sieges were just instances where you can earn massive amounts of rr and maybe awesome gear
but some people really wanted a city fight, so they looked for a "good" instance. i remember the times where i standed outside altdorf waiting till i could enter a instance with a nice number of players in it to fight over the place. it was rare in the last times.
