nice! Thx Aza! Looking forward testing it tonight.Azarael wrote:Archetype balancing using solo players has been implemented. Solo queue scenarios will not start unbalanced, but if any groups are queueing then the manager will prioritise, but not force, archetype balance instead.
The scenario will not fill using solo players unless it can balance the archetypes while doing so or one side is missing a lot of players.
If people want 1/4/1 or 1/3/2 priority I can add bias to the queue, but that's for later. Guess 2h tanks have their place.
DPS AM and Shaman are treated as DPS by the queue logic. This is determined by Int greater than Willpower. Accordingly, the bitching at players running these specs may stop.

Re: [PVP]Scenario balance suggestion
I would think that no one would argue with the following logic:
1. A premade group that que's up does not want to pugstomp an sc filled with solo que pugs.
I define a premade group in this context as any group greater than 1 person. Now, with that said, I do believe that 6 man premades don't want to groupstomp duo or 3 man partial groups. So with this in mind... I'd like to add the following:
2. A 6 man premade that que's would like to fight against another 6 man premade group.
Using these two statements... what is the best way to achieve this? I think you could do the following:
A. Allow 6 man premades to que for a designated sc that only has other 6 man premades in que.
B. Allow solo que players the ability to que for a designated sc that only has other solo que players.
C. Allow ques for any and all groups and sizes for the remainder of sc's.
The addon que-quer already allows people to que for the sc's they want. So I think my suggestion here just further helps people achieve the balance they want. I.e. if you want to fight premade v premade at 6 man level... que for that one designated 6 man premade sc (like CW for example). If you want to que solo knowing all participants are going to be solo pugs... que that one solo que sc (like phoenix gate for example). The rest of the sc's... if you so choose to que for them.. will be completely fair game. There may be duo's, trio's, solo's, 6mans. Whatever. If you choose to que for the remainder of non-designated sc's.. you will face any and all outcomes.
Is there any flaw in this logic?

I look forward to testing this when I get home. Are Archmage and Shaman the only careers with a check like that?

Re: [PVP]Scenario balance suggestion
Balancing scenarios will make game worse. Any kind of balancing. You make a group you should be rewarded. You go pug you should die like a pig. This pushes the players play better, form groups, generaly improve the quality of the game.

Re: [PVP]Scenario balance suggestion
Just had my first SC of the night. I was on a Vaul AM (dps slot, no surprise). Heavy healing group overall although watching a DPS Zealot attack a glowy hands Rune Priest was unexpected.
This is really really good.

Re: [PVP]Scenario balance suggestion
what happens when you queue as group with 5 with 1 tank 3dps and 1 heal? do sc even pop then? what does it match into your group, second tank or second heal?
