Questions about Black Orc

From what I've gathered, if you want to go SnB Tank, Black Guard and Chosen are just better options.

So what about 2 handed Black Orc?

Is it viable in T4? (If not, then I don't see many optimal reasons to play BO)
Are you still tanky with 2H? (If not, then you might as well SnB right? Which in turn, means you might as well play the other 2 tanks.)
Does the damage justify the loss of defense? (If it does, are you still tanky enough to justify not rerolling to a better dps class?)
What exactly is your role as 2 handed BO? (DPS support with some decent damage? Crowd Control?)

The reason I'm considering this class is, if it's not trash in T4; I'd like to take on the role of pushing towards healers. If I can scare a healer with dps but be tough enough to get to them as well as supporting dps helping me, that's what I want to roll.

I don't know much about classes, especially late game. I disregarded research and was very casual in live.

There are a variety of reasons to take BO, BG is better than BO but now with the changes to the KD now being 9 points the difference between the 2 is not as great as it was before the class is viable in T4 as a second tank in a group keeping the WS buff up, guard, snaring targets and general tank assisting

If black orc could get a few small buffs mainly to the boss tree, specifically the WAAGH! ability and da greenest bellow then defiantly the class will be a viable second tank in group play

Chosen will always be a staple b/c auras and other goodies like destined for victory (black orcs get something similar with you sez me blok dat which is a staple if SnB)

The class has always been able to do good dmg due to the Gork Smash + Stab You Gooder tactics

Furthermore they bring stat steal, and without trivial blows people will be stacking iniative and stealing that while greatly in cease your targets chance to be crit

All 2h tanks can still be tanky if you don’t go lolzdps and gear and spec properly but you can still do good dmg if you go SnB


Yes, in a party you’re a support tank with good dmg for a tank that assists your mdps and ou can provide different ways of CC such as snare, KD, AoE punt, tank root and aoe snare if you use big brawlin, also ye missed me stacks with crippling stikes apperantly so you can significantly debuff a target like a slayers dmg

Black Orcs probably has the best SnB burst of any tank, and really good burst with a two hander. Going two-hander means you are extremely squishy (from both guard damage and range) considering a Black Orcs easiest to stack defense is block, whereas Chosen can really stack alot of Parry (without trying) and thus can guard effectively whilst Two-handing. Black Orcs are good melee train assist-ers with armour debuff and spammable snare (or Aoe Snare if specced for it)

For SnB comparisons;
SnB BG is an amazing harasser, SnB Chosen has great versatility, but neither compete with the BOs raw killing power. Keep in mind Tanks are EXTREMELY gear dependent, don't expect anything amazing until you are in Invader (goes for most tanks).

Also Black Orcs glass cannon spec can yield some ridiculous numbers on squishy targets (2k + crits)

I dont think you need to stack crit chance atleast from renown, you get 20% from gork smash, + crit chance gear, destro has abilites that inc chance to crit like crimson death and deeply impaled as well as being able to steal iniative to increase there chance to crit so your tree hit combo should be hitting pretty hard i went 34 pts for str 5 and slotted rugged
