Sooo I don't play the game much these days, after the downtime and such. So when I get a chance to play and want to gear up a character that requires sc gear to be playable it's frustrating to go vs the premades and generally is just a waste of time. I don't know how difficult it is to code a pug queue, but i'm going to go out on a limb and say it's within the realms of possibility considering the 6 mans have their own sc's? Is it even in the pipeline for the near future to add a solo queue option or something like that for say khaines embrace or another pug friendly map? And yes i know there are things you guys find more important to do beforehand and stuff, so i'm just curious if it's going to happen at some point.
As a note: This isn't a bash at 6 mans or anything I couldnt give a **** aside from the fact it's boring to play against. Please keep the "get a group" comments to yourselves, thanks <3.

Re: pug sc
Lots of people have asked for 1 or 2 scenarios thats PuG only, and I think it's 100% possible, However is it good for the game in general??? I think role checks before ques would be better for the game and make sure there are ballacned amount of roles in each scenario group rather then having guranteed PuG vs PuG Scenarios.
But I wouildn't mind eaither. Just thinkin whats better for the game.

Re: pug sc
roles wouldnt really make the difference
what sets pugs apart from premades is the level of communication and coordination

Re: pug sc
This has been asked several times already.
Playerbase is too low to support such a system.

Re: pug sc
On NA times, maybe, but it's dead at the time anyway from my understand. In EU times I highly doubt this would be the case, in fact I would imagine you would get a lot more people to queue up for a solo queue since it would be much easier for pugs to gear up. Most scenario's are say 2 groups large? 24 pugs in prime time to keep 1 constant queue going seems very easy to achieve given how scenario's are already easy to get into, unless queue times have drastically changed.Luicetarro wrote:This has been asked several times already.

Re: pug sc
Very incorrect. When caledor woods was implemented as a strict 6v6 premade scenario it was more active than thought, granted its become less and less, but the 6v6 community is the smallest community/playerbase in the game and somehow it managed to have some sort of action. I would argue that half the players here are puggers, and I'm sure many would enjoy fighting in a pug scenario where for them there is arguable more fun to be had,Luicetarro wrote:This has been asked several times already.

Re: pug sc
As someone who is new to t4 and on their first character not finding reliable premade SC groups I fully support this idea, no fun for premades or pugs to fight one another. Premades want to fight other premades, and pugs would like to not get spawn camped every SC.
Re: pug sc
The problem is also that any sort of premade aleady has the advantage of having aproper set up...and solo queuers can end up in groups with 5 assorted dps and 1 engi with a keg. At least to me queueing solo in the off times it appears that 2 destru premades are enough to make sure the order rabble forces are always nuked with exactly not a single emblem as progress. Fun is definetly near zero in these cases.
And solo queuers are simply enough also in main times people without guild...leveling alts or newbros.
And I dont know about the numbers, but these people get really frustrated and get loud in chats.
As a matter of fact, a lot of people have good st1 sc, as there are not really premades there, then t2 and t3 scenarios become a rarety and then they get thrown to the hsarks in t4,so they dotn have much of a chance to shape up on their new class or the game from the beginning.
The old situation that most players are veterans from war simply is no longer true withthe new player base.
But the same goes with rvr...pugs and small scale parties facing half decent organised warbands dont cause the best enjoyable gameplay.
Why not make 1 Sc each week a solo queue only Sc and lets see what happens? did work wellwith Caldeor woods, why should it not work out with the opposite of the player base?

Was checking for a special comment, but can't find it atm, so I'll use that one for now:adei wrote:Very incorrect. But if this ain't true anymore, nvm my comment then. The player pool is too small for us to take the hit of attempting complex matchmaking.
I only know, even in a random guild-premade during EU peaktime, it will take up to 10+ minutes for a pop. Split the queing ppl in two sets, and I can't predict the outcome.
Would love to see a 'Solo only' que though. But it has been discussed several times, without making it a priority, since other things are more important. Not blaming the devs, mind me, they know very well what they can/have to do atm with their limited time and resources.
Re: pug sc
>this again
it's been discussed to death already and can be summed up in two word "low population"
Also i just virtually leveled 2 characters wearing green t2 gear from 32-36 almost exlusively in pug scenarios. Learn who the premades are, look at the sc board and check if you have a snowball chance in hell with the comp you have, if not leave the sc immediately through the portal and reque for a diff one.
Also want to say that the desicion to make nordenwatch the default SC instead of reikland factory was a bad move. I'd probably have twice the emblems leveling those up.
