Sorc / Bright Wiz Mirror

I'm newly into RoR but played the LIVE game all the way to the end game and actually had several max level toons before shutdown.

It became apparent that the mirror for some classes just didn't work in balance. Despite Mythic applying "balance" to fix some bright wizard OP abilities, the still managed to treat Sorcs with the SAME nerf hammer. Sometimes the "nerf" that they where bringing down on BWs wasn't even a viable tactic for the Sorc because of the differences in the "mirror".

I don't want to drain this post with a bunch of complaints about mirror in balances but I wanted to know if RoR is in the process of addressing something that Mythic seemed to avoid by treated all mirrors as the same class. As an end game Sorc I loved beating bright wizards but I feel like it took much more skill and tactics then some of the blatant run and gun ability of the BW. Its fun being the underdog in a match up but sometimes you just want a level playing field and I never got the feeling this was the case in the BW / Sorc mirror.

Well, I can get into the specifics of what I saw in the Live version. I still don't know what is differant in RoR. However, the question was...

Is RoR going to address mirror imbalances or like Mythic, treat all class mirrors the same.

Have you checked out the Balance Discussion forum? viewforum.php?f=96

If someone makes a decent proposal for a class change it is opened for discussion, and then moved forward from there.

So, yes, they address imbalances if you provide evidence warranting the change and a solid proposal for a fix

it should be noted however that in the balance subforum appealing to your mirror is not allowed. There may be some differences between the mirrors and that is to be expected, they are not total mirrors of each other (they are not meant to be) as long as the balance overall between order and destro is the same

Mirror balancing will kill one of The coolest parts of the game that every toon has some uniqe Things.
