Serious Feedback for T2-4 merge + Rework

Hey everybody!

Since the other feedback threads didn't work out too well I'm here to give my view of the whole thing as a more or less returning player. (played quite alot on the EU Servers back then)

First of all, change is always welcome! (especially in a game which "should" be dead by now)

In my opinion the new system is definitely the right way to go. But as a new player it can be quite cumbersome, I'm playing a BO and just reached lvl 19 and jumping into the RVR experience is a 'lil harder now that you jump from t1 to t4 .(depending on which map is open at the time)

The 20 silver travel cost and my inability to play in anything smaller than a wb (since I get blown up by rank 40 wh/wl's) plus the very situational exp-gain situation. (you're dependent on your wb killing stuff) hinder my lust to throw myself into RvR just yet.

At the moment SC's are imo better than RvR for the <25-30 players (both exp and rr)


Keep in mind, all this is written through my 'lil noobish eyes so feel free to correct me if I'm wrong.

based on my experience (stil short here but pretty long on official) ORvR has never been the most rewarding when it comes to either XP or renown...

If you want fast exp... questing (if done with some knowledge of where to go and possibly with a second player) or grinding (there are some good spot that are actualy quite rewarding, but you need aproriate spec/class to really make a killing out of them) are much better, even SC give much better XP.

If you want Renown... SC all the way, only in t1 may be a little more rewarding to go ORvR, but even there is debatable, once you enter t2 the exp and Renown you get from winning a SC completely ecplipse the gain from ORvR.

For those reasons I also approve of the dual token system (that is RvR give RvR token and SC give SC token... just that we could use a RvR token weapon)

On the money side, yes it is indeed a bit expensive for low level char (you just went to the 10G expense for the new mount and are already saving for 100G one), but with how useful (or rather useless) money is for high level char it's quite easy to find somene willing to donate a few gold, If you join a guild that will be even easyer

As for effectivness of low level char against Lvl 40 char... it get less straining once you get past level 20, at Lvl 30 you are actualy in quite the good position...

Now... for what can be done about those problem... It's pretty hard to find a solution, or at least a solution that is HARD TO EXPLOIT, in fact ORvR is pretty open to potential Xrealm exploit, it has always been and will hardly ever change in this regard, for this reason EXP or Renown increase have alway been a pain, in official there were many iteration but one way or another there was always someone that found a way to exploit them, once something that is based on interaction with another player (and can be staged) become remunerative there will always be someone that will try (and most likely find a way) to eploit it.



TLDR: ORvR will never be the fastest way to Lvl up a char... but sure enough is one of the funniest way to do it , so if you want to ENJOY the game the most just go with ORvR or SC (based on the PvP scale you'r most fond of) If you want to get to max lvl and start playing with the "Adults" than resign yourself to stay away from the lakes and focus quests/grind with some SC to brake the bore in bettween ^^
