Working on RVR zone

Hello everybody,

First of all, excuse my English, this is not my native language and what you read is only a google trad (a bit) corrected.

I come to you today with a dream, that of seeing Warhammer Online as it should have been, namely a grand RvR game.

However, this is not currently the case. At the Mythic time, he had serious shortcomings which, logically, are found here too. All this remains my personal opinion of course.

The RvR is fun, but very repetitive. The efforts of the devs will not suffice to fill some points in the base game that I find troublesome.

At the moment, the RvR can be summarized in a few words: one zone is Lock, we moves to the next. On that zone, we walks, we captures some Bos, and when we feels the advantage on our side, we attacks the enemy keep. If we wins, we have more than to watch the BOs until Lock, which is almost impossible to prevent for the kingdom opposite unless a huge reversal of situation (and population). And history repeats itself, in one direction or the other, to infinity.

Another observation, the PVE areas surrounding the PVP areas are often pretty, with lots of little and big things to explore, but very often emptied of its players who spend very little time and return even less.

I then came up with the absurd idea of extending an area, over its entire surface, to the RVR. I thought of Praag at first, it is not the most beautiful of the zones (and it is very subjective as point of view) but I think it is one of the simplest to modify pars its topology.

We would add keeps, both to avoid the syndrome "a keep taken, a zone lock", and Bos, to allow more strategy, and finally to avoid the blobs that swarm on small maps and have nothing to do more than to grow and grow more.

Each keep would have two Bos bound, controlling these Bos, the kingdom possessing the fort would supply its supplies and allow it to leveled.

All the mobs, NPCs, chapters, etc..., will be delete to let praag virgin.

Considering the server population, and the size of the new zone, there should only be one accessible area, no more history of Lock. The rewards would be distributed in much smaller amounts at the end of the fort (or defense, in larger quantity than the attacks, to reward successful defenses and incite the players to defend).

I made a picture to try to explain all this:

(the green areas are mountains that can be crossed, the reds are impassable, in one or two directions. The yellow are the new stuff to add)

I know, it's a huge amount of work, I do not expect the whole community to be enthusiastic, but I wanted to tell you about my dream Warhammer.

Have a good day !

Well. doing this means : modifying maps in first places (and actually thats impossible). Not sure you can put a keep anywhere without cleaning topology :).

Now, what about PvE lovers? What about Bastion Stairs? :(

Shall i underline actually the RvR content has "no real goal" according fortresses and capital siege aren't deployed.

Your idea could be fun, but well.... months and months of work....
