St. Valentine's event = Night of Murder

Popularly enforced holiday St. Valentine's Day is closing in. It's time to celebrate Night of Murder!

I was very glad developers have supported my humble Christmas idea and gave us full new quest and a great cloak with it, thank you very much for that!
So, maybe, some quest counting down amount of killed players (would be great test for "kill X players" quests in warcamps) or kill every class at least 13 times? Turn off all warcamp guards (not very good idea)? Nerf/boost Witch Elves to oblivion? Reward can be just participation, functional title or maybe some kind of pocket/trophy item that can be shown on a hero?

Thank you very much for your hard work! :P

Maybe a bladed weapon without damage and a nice not otherwise avaible skin? dark-elven maybe - that would fit, wouldn't it?

I think it would be nice to have an event like this. But, if implementing that event, please extend the time-frame when it should take place for (at least) one week. The reason is a very pragmatic one: it would give us, who have to date our valentine sweeties, wives and/or girls that day, the chance to participate, too. :D

was alredy thinking to post....god now i will have to choose beetween itiem reward or my new girl .... :/
Also kill x times classes it's a problem, better write kill x^n all classes that way if those classes aren't in game you still can succesfuly made quest.
Would it be interesting:
for men= kill x wemen
for wemen= kill x men

But i still think we will have some problem too that way

Yeah I think this is a really cool idea mate. I think it's really good for the community to do stuff like this (if of cause it doesn't detract too much from development progress, goals etc).

If the dev team do want to run with this maybe it would be cool (as Oldplayer suggested) to theme it on the Dark Elf festival of Death Night:
Spoiler:
"The holiest time of the year for Dark Elves is Death Night. During this night the Witch Elves rule the streets of the Dark Elf cities, capturing anyone they find (whether they are slaves or Dark Elves) and either dragging them back to the temples or simply killing them on the spot as sacrifices to Khaine. The Witch Elves will even go so far as to break into houses, which has led to Dark Elf families barricading windows and doors during this night. On Death Night, the Witch Elves will also steal away a number of children and babies from their families. Girls captured like this will be trained to become Witch Elves while boys are tossed in a cauldron of boiling blood: those that survive are trained to be true adepts of Khaine- the feared assassins. As dawn breaks after Death Night, it is customary for those who lived through the night to make a sacrifice from their own household (usually a favoured slave or elderly relative) as a thanks to the Lord of Murder for sparing their family. It is doubtful that anyone would even attempt to defend themselves against the Witches, as the retribution for successfully doing so would be cruel even by the standards of the Dark Elves."
And following on from other peoples suggestions of a weapon skin as a reward I found these in the WAR model files, maybe they would be fitting:

Destroyer (modelled on the Sword of Khaine)

Yeah, you're right Tesq, it may be tough to do a kill x type etc... maybe it should be npc based?

Having thought about it a bit, sticking with the WE-Death Night/Khaine theme, maybe we could do a PvE quest versus Witch Elf NPCS, but base it at the Shrine of Khaine on the Blight Isle, elf T1 RvR zone, that way incorporating a bit of PvP without making the event dependant upon it.

Shrine of Khaine is a great thematic location, but it's bit far to the Destro side, what about using the exact middle of the Elven RvR zone?
But then every middle of the zone with its teleporting lags is pretty meh.

I like the idea of Witch Elves fight!
