It's still quite long (and boring imo) to make 5g from farming, unless you're lucky and get sth expensive to sell tht you don't want. And chances are higher that newer players will actually want any gear they farm instead of selling to get gold.

We used to get money from killing players in rvr on live iirc - I don't know if there's any intention to implement that on RoR? It's fine saying it's easy to make 5g (or several times tht depending on how many toons you play regularly) when you dedicate time to farm but for ppl who just wanna log in and do some rvr, it's not easy at all.

People tend to forget that the reason for grinding in most online games is so you keep paying a monthly fee. In F2P games grinding is even worse because they want you to get so frustrated that you end up paying cash for things that take an eternity to acquire in-game.

Private servers don't have any of those things, so i find it kinda silly not to reduce the grinding. The soul of this game was always the PvP/RvR, so it doesnt make any sense that, assuming you log in and do SCs non-stop, you end up just gaining a few silver over a couple hours. So some people decide to not Q for SCs and just farm some mobs for a couple hours because they need the gold to buy a horse.

If it were up to me i would give everyone all they needed so they could simply focus on fighting other people. Free +70% horses for everyone!

No it's not. It is just a tool some companies use to make you keep playing a game, doing the same things over and over and over to acquire some sense of achievement.

Private servers don't need to force their community to grind, so i believe they could make a lot of changes in this regard (increase XP, gold, etc.). However, since this is a PvP game, i would be completely fine if they keep the renown grind as it was in 1.4.8 (actually 1.4.8 was easy, so maybe 1.3.6?)
