Witch Elf Dagger Size Comparison [Re-Size Suggestion]

Hello my fellow beach elves,

I made a list of all my stored weapon appearances, not including t4 epic quest weapons, to compare their size and in certain cases suggest a resize to make them look more appropriate and visually pleasing.

To judge their size I looked at the dagger-hilt and checked how it fits to your hand size. For some weapons the hilt is quite large, sometimes the blade is really long. All this I used to add my color-coded opinion on each weapon. :)

Taste is always subjective I guess, but lorewise Witch Elves daggers are kinda big.

While I agree that some of those are kinda ridiculous big, if fits the character. I also think your definition of "perfect" is way too small. Witch Elves are not the stabby-stabby kind of assassin, they are the "chop your arms, legs and head off while in a battle trance" kinda assassin. Kinda hard to do that with a thin knife that looks like it's meant to spread butter on a slice of bread.

that's like your opinion man

maybe you like stabbing little dawi with kitchen knives, but I like a big long ritual dagger that actually penetrates the outer layers of dawi bellyfat and actually guts them properly :)
it's good that some daggers have smaller looks if you like those, but let some of the daggers have bigger blades for better stabbing. some classes already get to enjoy big dakka weapons that are visually stunning and easy to see, let WE also have some daggers where you can see the differences without needing a microscope.

Hmm Dark Elves love BIG spikey things that have way more surface area to victim size ratio than required by the laws of physics.
I love this game and the server community. Thank you to the RoR staff.

Thanks for your feedback. The difference I see is, on your drawings the dagger-hilt fits to the hand holding it. Look at the thin fingers of the ingame WE, how can she hold a handle with this size, nor using a blade as large as their torso? Those are asian-mmo-aesthetics, where 2h swords have 3 meter long blades.

Those miniatures have totally off proportions, you can't compare them to our ingame models. It is a different style. :)

In lore WE often fight with a full sword and a secondary dagger. That was Hellebon's fighting style from the start.

Tbh I like that there are a few shortsword sized/-like daggers for WE, might even get tempted to make a WE.

Yeah, this sounds right but still, when you look on her pictures you will notice, that those swords are not oversized. ^^ It is not about how long the blade is. The sword/dagger-hilt has to fit to the rest of the body or at least to the hand. This isn't true for some of the weapons.

Elves have lithe figures, their hands and fingers are thin. This don't stop them from holding big weapons. HE Swordmasters, White Lions, Phoenix Guard; DE Black Guards, Har Ganeth Executioners; WE Wardancers, Wildwood Rangers. Witch elves carry daggers and shortswords, this seems more than reasonable enough for me. And you can't argue with them "using a blade as large as their torso" in a fantasy universe, I'm sorry.

Your issue seems to be much more about the game models and how they interact with the weapons models which is understandable. TBH, This is nowhere near the level of bad that WoW is in that department. I don't see a reason to downscale the weapons just because of that, specially if it goes against the lore of the class.

Just be happy that there are daggers that fits to everyone's taste and that you can change their appearances so easily. And for free!

PS.: The miniatures may be off proportions, but it's on them that the whole character design of this game is based on.
