DPS DoK WB utility- Essence Lash CD.

Looking at WH/WE changes- since at the current form dps DoK has a limited utility in WB, would it be possible to remove CD on Essence Lash?

Or, since the SE regain might make it too strong without CD, separate it into 2 versions- 1 current, and 1 without a CD and without SE regain? Or, for example, adds tactic for a CD removal?

And similar change to WP version.

You can already spam Essence Lash if you have a 5-second CD reduction in your group.

Problem is, anything which requires "specific X class with specific build in team" doesn't really works in current pug environment.

Dps DoK is allready allright for WB play.

You won't see massive amount of kills but you will add good utillity to your warband and especially your group. The warband utillity comes from the AOE healdebuff that is easy aplied with Essence Lash + Devour Essennce at the early engagement.

The group that you're in gains really good AoE heals due to Transfer Essence is used as a filler between Lashes and you're also able to run 2 Covenants due to having 2 doks and a Zealot which should increase your your tanks and 2nd dps slightly. It would be really good if there wasn't the crappy ICD on the Covenants which makes em unable to proc as AoE skills.

Try this build, RoR.builders - Disciple of Khaine

It's not amazing in anyway, but it's fun to play.

As a dps dok though, pretty much the last thing you want to do in pug wb is to get into melee range (and rdps bomb range) of order wb. Transfer Essence won't heal anyone, when you are dead in 3 sec since in pug you won't have a dedicated guard/healer.

On my dok in wb situations I switch to fully rdps mod- Essence Lash spam, with Fist in downtime, and Devour Essence on the right carrier. Khaine's Imbuement is glued in on dok as it is, that tactic is really underappreciated.

When I compare dok to my tank specced magus though, omg magus has so many more options in wb situations. Not even mentioning CC (so many uses for bomb stagger)- while I don't expect being able to stack 5 different sources of aoe in same time on dok like I do on magus, some option for constant aoe pressure in wb situation would be helpful.

I'm afraid you need a leasson how to better understand how warbands function. All dps class in warbands all should be melee oriented and you should have a guarding tank supporting you. This is not just for warband scale but, all dps should be guarded in this game. All damage is ballanced around this. This will reduce the burst damage you take and you will be able to sustain. It also requires tanks to rotate challanges to drop dps burst even more. Just rotating FoK and EL is completly pointless. You deal bad damage and don't do any melee healing. You need to revalue how to play in warbands i'm afraid.

Do you play a lot of PUG WB? This post is both perfectly accurate and yet missing the point.

Yes FoK and EL isn't very efficient. But when your pug has 3 tanks and none of them are in your group your advice doesn't help. When you have tanks that REFUSE to use guard much less float it and who never challenge and the wb lead does nothing your advice also doesn't help. L2P/getgud is not useful when you don't have the requested tools.

An equally truthful and accurate but also useless answer is to get into a guild wb or 6man. DPS DoK is far less useful to a pug wb than a zealot sadly in their minds.

A DPS DOK within a warband should have a guard. If he doesn't, then you are essentially limited in what you can do and can't reach your potential. That is why people need to join guilds that run regular organised WB raids so that they can be guaranteed guards, etc.

Changes to WH/WE were to give those classes a WB spec. It didnt make every wh/we spec good in a warband.

With that in mind. DoKs have a good WB spec, it's their heal spec.

I have no problem with a nifty idea that will make DoKs/WPs fun in a WB. But I do have a problem with the idea that wh/we getting a little love somehow entitles melee doks to the same treatment.

It's a spec not a class. I think it should be competitive in some areas. But I dont think a single spec of a class needs to be as well rounded as the whole of another class.

And ok on a side note, hate wh/we changes.

I would then sugest you find a tank that you can pug with. If you end up in different parties, then tell wb leader that you're playing together and if that doesn't work leave and join wb until you end up in same group.

Maybe a good function in the future for joining pug warbands would be if you could join them as group and then it get sorted automaticly and place those players in the same groups. Or just having the SC group window for open warbands aswell, so people can arrange groups for themself.
