Increase in XP for Leveling

I feel the grind to 40 is so long in this game. Especially for NA on order where no one really speaks up for doing anything that can get you good xp while Qing for SC's. I also feel this turns a lot of people away from the game and makes it to where a lot of people would rather stay in T1 rather then try and get to lvl 40. I hear all the time people say they would never lvl another char to 40 because of the grind. So can we not increase xp gain from certain things? Like PQ's and SC's and maybe ORVR. I feel like this would make the grind to 40 more bareable, especially for those that dont have the time to do that much grinding due to working 14 hour days. I would also like to hear other peoples comments on this thought as i havent been playing long ( about 2 weeks i think) and i have a lvl 22 IB and a lvl 26 WP. I seem to get like a lvl or 2 a day once i found which classes i liked.

Your not the first person to ask this and the devs are gonna tell you they have already increased the exp rewards from quests and the sc win kill quests as destro at least we have forsaken soul mobs in ic we can grind out during down times for some exp also doing all the epic quests gives nice chunks of exp even if you don’t want the rewards

My only complaint is there is something really weird going on with sub level 31 toons who participate in orvr in t4 zones where the frequency of exp and renown ticks in get while in a warband drastically decreases and the amounts for both are drastically reduced and I want to know if that is intentional because such tings don’t happen in T2-3 orvr zones

It would be nice if it was possible to increase the amount of rested XP on your characters by a fair bit, I'm not sure of the max current amount, i'm assuming its like a level and a half?(I'm not sure if this is correct) (If it was doubled or even tripled i think that would be more than enough to combat this issue Tripled being on the extreme end and doubled on the more sensible end.)

That way they wouldn't have to mess around with EXP rates and at the same time throttle the possibility of extreme power levelling and skipping the T1 and 16-31 Scenario scene.

I'm sure this might of been thought of previously so i guess apologies in advance for beating a dead horse.. But i do agree with OP about it putting off new players along with existing players who woud like to level up an Alt, or Alts.

Imo the levelling proces isn't too slow. Levelling a shaman right now (r22/rr27 atm) and I get 2/3r per day.
I think the problem is the mentality some players have. The levelling process IS part of the game, it should be fun! This game isn't a MOBA, you do t have all the skill/gear by default, you have to gain them. After r16 you can enter in T4 lakes with bolster. The bolster let you compete with r40 character, if you manage to get a small group every kill will get you tons of exp/renown.

The rather large XP penalty for questing with someone outside of your teir is the only gripe I have. Otherwise, get an alt and be sure to have a rested bonus and you will level up quickly.

Ya when i played on Destro side i got groups a lot for PQ and didn't have a problem lvling to lvl 10 in like an hour? but its just like no one really wants to do PQ's on order side during NA time. So I'm just only either very slowly doing Easy PQ's solo while waiting for SC pops or just trying to do orvr which the xp from that seems almost non existent, especially in T4 areas. I don't really know what else to do for that problem and I cant speak for other times like EU. I know EU has more people on so maybe its not a problem then. But I'm at work during EU times so i don't really ever get the chance to play with that crowd. I also have played Daoc, EQ, WoW, Tera Online ect ect... so I understand that lvling can be a grind. This is an RVR game mostly. so you would think that lvling would be kept more to a minimum, or maybe make it easier to lvl solo? NA time there are not many people on.

I feel like the XP changes are fine and the amount you get is good but i would agree with Toad. If people have friends to power level them why not.

What level are your Order toons? I mostly play Destro, but I’d be happy to group with you a few days a week to lvl a toon on the Order side. Never experienced it in Live. I was ride or die Destro then.

Leveling in theory is not bad. If you are just worried about level and not renown rank, you can do that all day and its quick.

The problem is SCs are slow a lot from 16-30, because of practical reasons. So if you want to get renown while you level you have to RvR. Which is the slowest form of leveling and that gets pretty slow a certain times too, which means you arent even getting the full effect of slow xp.

With that in mind I think the only thing that even warrants a discussion would be increased renown gains if your level is higher than your renown.

Why not just up the XP gain from RvR? I mean it won't hurt anything it would just mean you could get alts up and play in the enviorment the game was built for.

I have so many chars I wana level, but I don't want to pve and SC's are low pop. So I mean at least to thirty it would be nice to get some boosts to XP so that while im out helping my faction in rvr I get decent rewards for the contribution. I would love to be able to level through the portion of the game that was the original design behind the game. (Dungeons and stuff can come later on, but leveling at this point from rvr should not be this painful.)
