Influence in open RvR have a few options of attractive gear, but in most cases are the gear rewards pretty poorly itemized and super fast replaced compared to getting itemlevel 40ish gear.
For the T2-T3 orvr influence I think most players who level up either their first main or alt on this server, quickly bypass the levels where these items are relevant and there will for sure be cased of renown rank 70+ who reach that level before finishing full T2+T3 orvr influence.
While I dont have a system specificly in mind, I think this topic should be brought up. Since oRvR influence could serve as a carrot to bring action back into T2 after a City has been captured to make sure the campaign and action presists even after a citysiege finishes.
Just randowm showerthorught ideas:
T2+T3 orvr Influence will be reset weekly and by obtaining each of the 3 influence rewards in a racial pairing you can unlock a 3day duration pvp-tactic against the racial enemy from the pairing
Example: T2 Trollcountry you get rewards: 5%more chance to defend against Chaos. 5%less chance to get defended against vs chaos. 5%more damage vs chaos.
T4 some of the current T4 orvr rewards might serve as stepping stone items or placeholders so looking at an other system here.
Weekly T4 orvr influence reset working like the weekend warfront event having renown potion rewards. Maybe a reward option of a randomly generated lootbag for your rank (chance to get between blue to goldbag with gold being rarer) and last but not least if you get full weekly T4 influence you get a currency box for your rank.
Replayability is a big part of a campaign that is reset on a daily basic, having people go back out and grinding the orvr influence as a choice would hopefully spark more roaming interest, make resource box running matter for people who are pass the point of needing it, and even killing for influence mattering for rr80+ players to some extend.
