Hi guys,
after being on Uthgard playing DAOC for a while me and some friends - it's 4 of us - decided to try Warhammer.
I don't know the mechanics very well and was wondering what a good 4 people team would be on this game - what group composition should we aim for? Both PvE and RvR.
Any suggestions of classes with good synergy on both Order and Destruction?
Thank you!

Re: Advice for a group of new players
Most general groups in RoR are based around a 6-man group, usually with a 2-2-2 setup of 2 tanks, 2 dps, and 2 healers. So for example, in Scenarios (ie instanced battlegrounds) your 4-man would typically be paired up with others so keep that in mind.
A warband is four 6-man group, forming a group of 24. Note: in RvR you will come across a lot of large 24+ man zergs so keep that in mind. Some people feel the game doesn't cater to small group / solo play as well.
Because of this, it seems like the most successful small roaming groups usually utilize one or more stealth classes (Witch Elves on Destro, Witch Hunters on Order) paired with healers and either another DPS or tank with some CC. They will monitor paths from enemy war camps to focus down solo or small groups of players, take/hold remote objectives, monitor postern doors at keeps, etc. Use a player to bait a solo player or small group and then jump them.
While there is certainly PvE in the game, you'll mostly be leveling in RvR or scenarios after you get past the first 5 or so levels. There is a dungeon that you can do at low levels and there are Public Quests (marked by chests on the map in the PvE areas) which you can do with a group (and even randoms). At higher levels, more dungeons open up that people do for specific gear.
Most gear you focus on during leveling will be bought with medallions (earned from RvR) or emblems (earned from scenarios).
Just a note on healers: Warrior Priests / Disciples of Kaine are the Group/AOE healers. Rune Priests / Zealots are good Single target healers with CC. So WP/DOK + RP/Zealot make good combos. Archmage / Shaman are OK healers, but also good at DPS so depending on the group could be very good for roaming where it's more about bursting people down than prolonged fights.
