City not popping suggestion

Had an idea open to discussion on cities not popping when you have been in the queue for the full duration as a 12/18 man etc.. (which has happened to us a few times lately due to faction ratio/algorithm/bad luck etc..)

Why not give a bag containing 3 royal crests if the wb leader queued your grp before the 20 minute mark (this will cover for dc's etc.. in case you have to requeue) and timer has to hit zero before everyone in that grp is eligible for the bag.

Only a suggestion to take the edge of waiting around for 30 mins so you at least get a small reward, as 3 is the minimum royals you would earn from a failed city (and you won no bags), a few people are feeling pretty despondent after sitting around for half an hour and not getting any fighting or rewards for their time. On the live server empty/imbalanced cities would start (although this method lead to various exploits) but at least no one was left empty handed or disappointed.

Just a thought to try keep everyone happy and engaged in an awesome game that relies on a healthy player base.

X-realm harder, Destro had 60% population tonight so some were always going to miss out with that population imbalance.

Haha what a garbage post. Destro zerged the campaign hard today and then this guy's premade doesn't queue for 20 mins to try and avoid order guilds, then cry when they don't get a pop... needed that laugh!

Don't play the side with 60% population?

Can you imagine if something like this was implemented? Even MORE people would play the overpopulated side, win through zones in the campaign, queue city as late as possible "oh shame no pop oh well 3 royals for afking, wonderful" :o :o

so basically defending forts or keeps as order?
in all seriousness though are you going to pl me to 40 on order? its not my fault so many people play it and thats where my characters are. obviously you dont make it so that just anyone queuing gets a reward. that is just a lazy argument.

Not getting a city is for sure one of the worst experiences in the game. You have 30 mins to queue...but these days you often don't get a city if you are not queued within the first 3 mins.

The idea of a loser prize is interesting, and certainly helps take the edge off getting screwed by server pops. I think it can’t be anything more than 1 royal/invader depending on RR though.

A more involved potential solution would be having a backup PVE version of the city with reduced prizes for 6 mans that didn’t get in where you could earn a few Royals as well.

just now 120 order vs 45 dest at the maw. yesterday as 55 - 60 des, so it goes back and forth i guess.

This would not be the case as I mentioned on original post you have to queue in the first 10 minutes of city queue becoming available (ie: ready to get a pop and fight not afk leeching) meaning you would have been in the queue for over 20 minutes before being eligible for a token reward. Well aware if you could queue as late as possible people would exploit this and afk but by checking overall population and x realming (if that is your thing) or actually getting a city (which is what you are trying for) you stand a chance of winning many more royals from zone bags etc, which is why wb leader of your grp/wb needs to have signed you up asap.
