Twitch and Keg´s End

as a little feedback on stuff that wasnt so optimal i´d like to mention a few things:

1. completing keg end event 100% gives you a cloak skin, this is a good thing. also giving out the same cloak as a orange twitch present, especially if you already have the one from the event is at least kinda meh... considering you need to let your pc run 3 hours for technically nothing and theres no "trade in stuff you got double from two different events" merchant...

2. the stag, despite beeing described as one of the nicest mounts in visuals, doesnt fit that description to its full content... its a blank slate white stag... no saddle, no bling... and the worst part (which is kinda understandable considering balnce) is that i just figured it only lasts 30 days after giving all my tokens to just 1 char... also without the option to trade in stuffs with a merchant for other rewards...

3. regarding the non trade in merchants... i know its "presents" and its intentional to have some "suprise mechanics" (pun intended), but not knowing what is inside, opening it, and getting stuff double, triple and quadruple, without beeing able to use that crap or at least give it to another char that just has 2 copies instead of 4 isnt even something you would be happy about with a real christmas present... just imagine getting 5 times the exact same pair of socks...

4. token decay.... well kinda, cause i´m now faced with the option to either get my one char with 6 tokens a mount thats gone after 30 days... or a pet, which visuals it has i had to find out from ingame people cause i still havnt found any article on it, for 3 tokens, which admitingly is my fault for assuming the mount would be perma... like those griffons or stuff... and lose 3 tokens, which is 3 whole days of semi-watching twitch for nothing... and yes, despite its my fault for not reading a foot note, like in a devils contract, it sucks...

5. putting eventquest requirements into an SC environment is kinda not the best idea... cause people hunting beer kegs while other hunting objectives in 2 complete different locations on the battlefield only tends to lead to total failure for the later... especially cause those lousy 10 kegs could also have been easily put alongside the "drink x beers from taverns" questline. or anywhere else to be honest. just not in an SC... or a giant directly beside an open rvr objective...

so, for some suggestions.

for 1. dont do this... at all... handing out the same rewards for 2 different events is crap, period. its meh enough to get doubles from the same event... having that experience with 2 different ones is even worse.

for 2. just give that poor thing a saddle at least... and if you´re too concerned about balance... just let it run faster for 30 days and then reduce it to normal speed, so we have something permanent from this event, not knowing if the same non-perma reward for the same event next year is something similar or not.

for 3. i know... having trade in merchants would let you choose a reward... technically thats to much. but at least let us give doubles to alts/twinks. no harm in that. its not as if you get anything out of players that wanna have a certain thing for every char and thus play the game for another 10 years to get it... on that note i still dont get why events that are once a year dont hand out stuff that is not "char bound" but "player bound" or "account bound" per se, as a standard...

for 4. in a nutshell this is the same as nr. 3. whats the harm in letting me hand out tokens for rewards that i dont know what they will be to a alt/twink. that way i wouldnt have spent 3 days on twitch that are lost and thus feeling **** about wasting my time.

for 5. dont mix up event stuff with regular rvr/pvp. people doing the event stuff get anoyed for beeing farmed by pvpers and pvper get anoyed for people just ignoring the fact that their rvr zone gets overrun while the event guys just watching them getting slaughtered, munching on some popcorn. just leaves a bad taste in your mouth =).

soo... despite all that i must say the events went well. there where some funny things to aquire and i love the backpack for my dwarf. anyhow, just a bit feedback if you wanna consider it. =P

Aside from giving the event cloak out as the last Orange Present (lame, now I have two identical cloaks on my main!) I'd say Keg's End was a smashing success.

Much better than the randomized twitch drops (still salty over no Goggles while my friends got plenty, ngl) from previous events.

It is pretty much a consensus from everyone that I spoke to that the last Orange present being the same cloak as Keg End was a very lame way to end it. Kudos from doing it at all, but giving something like talis or something good to cap it at the end would have polished it off much better, or even better seeing as everyone was levelling alts how about Conq or Oppressor talis, or a quest to get them.

miss the quest lines for royal/invader and scenario currency. Otherwise great event

would of prefered the goggles to the cloak in last orange box...or atleast make the ornage box cloaks account bound so can post to your alts, that dont have the cloak...and yes i found out late that if i had sent the box before opening it i could of done that :(
