First, I want to thank you for making the tough decision and adding Trivial Blows.
I have different class archetypes. Some classes find it easier for others. But it's a good solution.
I would suggest introducing 4% crit talismans like on live servers (shoulders) and changing some set bonuses that would have a bonus to Critical DMG. To prevent some spec only based on armor peneration and bonus dmg.

Another suggestion: Make Trivial Blows additive, while it would still suck to be up against and be more than you can get out of onslaught and sov combined, as Sorc... it would't be as devastating

Trivial blows is nonsence in current state. It had its place on live with rr100 expansion where WEs, WHs, WLs were criting for 2 - 2.5k and sorcs/bws for 3.5k. Now when most of dps classes crit for 1-1.5k there is literaly no reason to introduce TB at all. It just hurt dps even more and buff turtle speced support classes to nearly unkilable state.

How does the TB calculation work? Is it just .6 times their end crit value?

I think it works like; trivial blows full renown 40% + 10% from liniment = 50 % - Crit dmg. So if you have full tb + 10 % from defiance liniment it basically negates 50 % crit dmg tactics correct?
