Gromril Crossing and other "race to the flag" scenarios

So I spent quite a bit playing the weekend scenario of Gromril Crossing and it sure feels like Order simply has a quicker path to the first flag (the bridge) than Destro does.

Before you freak out this isn't a reaction to the latest patch, I believe multiple scenarios have this issue and I imagine there is at least one that might favor destro.

That being said it seems quite pronounced in Gromril as often order is already in the process of capturing the flag before we even arrive on the destro side.

Is this something that the dev team is willing to look at? This seems to greatly impact the flow of the match, especially in this scenario where the next flag is dictated by who wins the first and points are awarded.

On a separate matter on this map there is the horrible broken train tracks outside of the destroy spawn that is just a trip hazard for everyone trying to navigate through. I'm sure the response could just be "git gud" but I'm sure the intent isn't to disrupt navigation between the spawn and one of the flags and I constantly see people get caught up in this and it's just bad placement.

Not sure what other scenarios have this problem - I know nordenwatch feels this way sometimes with regards to distance, but not as exaggerated. Would be interested to know if someone has actually tested these out.

Anyways would be happy to hear peoples thoughts and if this is something devs actually want feedback on and would consider adjustments for.

I like variety on Sc's. I usually prefer simple king of the hill where the simply stronger team win through pointless violence.

You know what you can do to sc you don't like? Don't que them. Easy solution to those issues. :)

This would only matter, if both sides are equally strong and have a stalemate on flag, which rarely happens.
Dying is no option.

So, out of curiosity I timed it. Took me 29.6s to get to flag as destro and 27.0s to get to flag as order. So Order route was indeed 2.6s faster. Not enough to cap the flag by any means, but still a small headstart.

But I guess we could move the flag slightly towards destro spawn, doesn't look like it is centered on the bridge anyway.

id rather have a minute where you cannot interact with the flag, easier solution cuz it'll be applicable to every sc like this

also helps the people who are slow to join sc take part in the first fight as the fight isnt forced because of capturing.. Might produce better sc's overall

+1. Too many scenarios are decided in the first minute, and if you happen to have a few late joiners you're going to be down half the score by the time they join and you eventually fight back and gain the upper hand.

The thing is, what route did you take from the destro camp? Did you go over the cliff or did you go thru the tunnel? Because the tunnel is faster, and my experience in playing this from destro side is that most people don't take the tunnel...

Gromgrill crossing race to centre from start, Order run to centre was THREE SECONDS closer than destro
destro legitimately complained
Gms/Dev SORTED IT IT ASAP within1 WEEKS patched it, now it equal,
fair for both

Phoenix gate race to centre with flag from enemy base, Destro are THIRTEEN SECONDS closer
Order have legitimately complained 4 times now in THREE YEARS and bug reported it TWICE
no action taken by gms/devs
advantage to destro for 3 years, id estimate over 2000 scens have been won by destro because of this unfairness, scens they should never have won

even Chinesehero noticed this three years ago and posted about it,
no action taken

Still waiting and hoping for some equality
