More realistic fall damage

Has this idea ever been suggested? Would be a game changer. No more bounding off high places with reckless abandon. Jumping from 3rd floor keeps no more. Would even be interesting if a tactic could be added to certain classes to decrease the fall damage.

yes, it was in the game 100% on the point as how you described it. No one liked it, so they lessened the fall damage.

Fall damage is one of the worst mechanics in video games, very few games benefit from it at all

WAR with its weird collision detection and questionable map design is definitely not the game that needs more of it

Agreed. Terrain is often the most lethal force in the game as is, it hardly needs a buff.

RoR is also very super buggy jumping off a keeps wall might hurt you less than jumping off a small rock for example

ror hs realistic fall damage.

sometimes my character, in heavy armor, falls two steps and takes damage. obviously they didn't consider the extra weight and hurt their legs.

that's why it's meta to do squats before going out or the warcamp.

You mean mediocrity won out? Why i never.. People can't be bothered with paying attention to where they drop, so now we all gotta see people falling 200 ft off cliffs on horses.

Thx for the info though, I had no idea.

They don't fall, they slide down the hillside. You are new, you will eventually learn where you can do it.
