Combat healer question

Hi there, my question Is for WP/ Dok, i mean i know for example the Grace WP can't run in Orvr with a pug Wb but don't know if Dok can do that, so someone can explain to me if Is possibile, and how It work... Don't wanna be a DPS but only pressure and healing too... Can understand if also i supporting the Frontline and healing... It's good aswell... Ty for yours time and the in Advance. Have a nice day.

shield spec just doesnt work in big scale. first of all you need a target in melee range while backline casters just throw their stuff every global cooldown. being in melee range also means youre propably taking more damage than other healers, straining them. if your target dies, or gets displaced (or you get displaced), you waste seconds not healing. it just goes on
