Screw pounce on a SH. Squig Armor is the biggest waste in the game and should just be removed from the game as melee squig just don't make any sense what so ever. Gobbos already have Run Away so having another way to escape is just over kill.

I rather have it on a mdps class on destro than on a range class.

Squig herders have an entire melee tree, which mdps are you suggesting would "get pounce" Choppa? Mare? WE? Never going to happen. It would at least be feasible in SA and add something fun to a bad tree
It's a waste though and not "feasible" because of the survival tactics and abilities that SH already have. Other than hilarity, there is absolutely no point for a SH to have pounce. :roll:

So not true. It's perfect for the goblin /special. And horse (or enslaved pack mule...) riding.

SH doesn't need another mobility/kite ability; besides that: it is a range class.

I am not against buffs to melee squigs, but I don't think mobility is at the heart of the problem. If you want to make melee squigs viable and make squig armor less trash you going to need to do a lot more to tactics / abilities.

If you just want to mirror pounce there are other places / classes you could put it on.

Putting pounce on a spec, on a class that can't use it is more of a slap in the face than a buff.

No there actually isnt, you cant give it to any of the destro MDPS classes, it wouldnt make any sort of thematic sense and given that the mdps classes all perform within a small variation of each other, drastic rebalances and ability nerfs/removals would be required. Its not coming to destro MDPS and its not going to go to a tank class so again, calling the SH a ranged class, which it primarily is, is still overlooking an entire tree which could be viable and needs work.

Look at the reality, the tree needs work. Its never going to be called OP, no rebalances would be required, no new animations, just a simple rejigging of abilities.

But whatever, if you think the WE, Choppa or Mara will ever see pounce just keep on dreaming and while you are doing that I will imagine my Night Goblin Fanatic mdps class.....

I got no problem with making melee squigs viable. Buff away no issues with me, but just adding pounce is not going to make them viable. There are a lot of issues when it comes to melee squigs, bouncing in is not going to change the fact that the dps blows, and they really offer no kind of utility compared to other melee dps.

Also there are more options than Mara / Choppa / WE. It could be given to a tank or healer dps spec. Thematically pounce is an elf ability, They were going to give SM a friendly pounce at one point if my brain isn't completely rotting out.

It would be a bit silly to give it to a DoK, but it could work on BG if it was a high point spec ability or a morale. But it would take some figuring to fit it in a tree.

It is not like abilities are mirror class to class. A lot of stuff is mirrored in odd places, if mirrored at all.
