I bet the sorcs/shams/etc think their buffs are part of their core mechanic as well.
Then they need to be reminded that their mechanic is Force/Tranquility and Gork/Mork Waaagh :). And then watch as they break down crying as their mechanic is almost as useless as the Zealot/RP one :P

What does that even mean? How do you get Zealot/RP buffs in a party that does not include a Zealot/RP? Runes/Marks are limited to party only and nothing I am suggesting will change that. If there is no Zealot/RP in the party... then the party gets no Runes/Marks.

If there's a bug where party buffs don't expire when players leave/join parties then that needs to be reported so it can be fixed.

Right, since the only Runepriests/Zealots that can buff are those in a premade.
WRONG. It's a simple learn-to-play for new Runepriests/Zealots to apply your buffs to anyone in a party, whether they ask for it or not. Every Runepriest/Zealot can use their buff, even on random party members in a Warband. It's as if you assume every premade party lacking a Shaman would get a Shaman/AM -just- for their resist buff, then kick them from party and get their dual WP/DOK back in. What's wrong with having a RP/Zealot in your party, always, rather for the sick healing they can do over the buff they have to re-apply upon every shatter?

As stated, the RP/Zealot buffs are minimal. It's better to have them in your premade but it's not a game-changing effect. Same thing with potions. You may live -just- a second longer with armor buff mitigation, or do -just- a tiny more bit of DPS. Having these minimal buffs without a granted ability shatterable makes them obsolete, which is why I agree with making them unshatterable like the Sorc/BW buffs, and Shaman/AM buff.

I'm pretty sure he means that premades will log a Zealot and buff the whole party even if they run 2x dok, because the buffs can't be sheared. The way it is now it's generally a waste of time to do that.

One of the big differences is Chosen/KoBS auras, WP/DoK prayers, etc. require you to be both in group and nearby the caster. I would totally be for changing zealot/RP buffs to this type as the useful ones are not geared to front-line classes unless you count Willpower+Initiative for tanks. Actually, having a very similar mechanic to auras or prayers would be great. It would disallow premades from stacking all three from alts in a 2xDoK party but still make them unshatterable. The only issue with this is the eventual implementation of the self-rez buff, as I'm not sure how that would work. I'd think you'd have to make it a timed blessing because, as noted, it will be pretty useless if it's shatterable.

I don't think tanks lose a lot by making these unshatterable because these buffs aren't really that game-breaking since they don't stack with other buffs. AFAIK they mostly save some people money on potions. Tanks have a lot of other buffs they can sever without having to sever the basic, fairly crappy support abilities of zealot/RP.

I don't know why this keeps being brought up - Marks / Runes are already restricted to group members so this cross-group issue is utter nonsense.

Mark of Daemonic Fury: Increase a groupmember's strength...
Mark of the Spell Destroyer: Increase a groupmember's initiative...
Mark of Remaking: The groupmember bearing this mark...

I've just spotted Mark of the Vortex's description is wrong - it says "Increase all groupmember's resistances" when it it only increases the resistances of the groupmember you targetted. I'm putting it on the bug tracker now.

That's a client side issue and can't be patched without repercussions.

Please don't bugtracker this - there's nothing wrong with the tooltip either.

Increase all groupmember's resistances => increase all the resistances of a single group member.
Increase all groupmembers' resistances => increase the resistances of all your group members.
