Really hard to tell on destro, cause it's preety well rounded but genrally what is always needed is players that think, follow leader directins well or even better are good leaders themself ! and are good team players.
For specific classes - like person before me - maybe well played Black Orc that know how and when to snare, punt, guard, etc Good healing Zealot. For dps hmm - very well played Marauders seem to lately bit underplayed, but Marauder seem to be quite hard to excel at, - also playing mdps can be preety brutal in ROR especially if you don't have a grp, so BO and/or Zealot are propably better choice for starters if you like to tank or heal.
What class is underplayed/needed?

cause there's been lots of SMs and engis latelyAurandilaz wrote: Also, why would a party opting for a meleetrain setup choose a WE over mara or choppa? They are suboptimal for groups.
now a choppa it lots of fun in a train but i often find myself praying for a WE to guard so we can actually do something about the swarm of ultra armoured keg engis

Re: What class is underplayed/needed?
WE is pretty good at melting healers. Decent at opening tin cans. Marauders best closers and debuffers. Mara is actually an excellent class, if you know what you're doing, which is not pretty common.

Destru is tank heavy. Order is RDPS heavy.
Zuuka - Okayzoomer - and many others
Khandikhaine/Ligmuh/Egf - Meatcircle - Ukruton - and many others
Old School / Lords of the Locker Room

I'd say Destro is Chosen-heavy. BOs and BGs are a lot rarer.Gachimuchi wrote:Destru is tank heavy. Order is RDPS heavy.
Re: What class is underplayed/needed?
Edit: I couldn't leave such a negative and long post up. Could have also turned sour. So! Some bullet points, my favorite. This is in regards to T1 Zealots
* Your kit is weak compared to the current DPS kits in T1. It catches up pretty fast in T2, though! This is mostly due to how people tend to play in T1 RvR. You should be relatively fine in SCs with an average team.
* Get a healing ui addon. The default UI isn't terrible, but healing UIs are more suited for your role. I personally use Squared because I'm stubborn, but I read good things about Enemy. The reason I use an addon is they tend to have larger icons, more consolidated information on the icons, debuffs that can be dispelled on display, better range indicators, and more versitality to personalize it to your liking.
* Cordial and Dark Medicine are both great spells, but don't expect a Cordial to be enough to keep someone up. It's more of a "in between GCDs heal" spell. Dark Medicine is great in T1 since other Zealots may still be a lower rank and relying on Flash and Cordial. Dark Medicine is a great compliment to those spells when cast by another Zealot.
* Hiding behind tanks only works when they have a shield and are at least rank 10. Other than that, not really worth being around them if they're running too far ahead.
* Make friends! There are plenty of people that may rage at you due to poor understanding of T1 Zealot's kit. But, there's also players that understand you can't make them immortal. Worth befriending those as they likely have knowledge of more than just their class or healers from other games.
* You'll pretty much have unlimited AP at first since your early spells are fairly cheap on AP. Don't get used to it! AT around rank 10, you'll be chewing through that AP if you're just blindly casting heals. Knowing your WB healer make-up and complimenting them is key. And knowing when to use what. Like, if you're trying to keep someone alive that's being focused, Cordial is not worth a GDC. That should be pre casted or used on someone that got hit once by a stray Acid Bomb or something.
Really, just playing your class well and the one that's the most fun to you! No matter what you end up taking to T4 first (lets be honest, gotta play them all!), I wish you good luck and lots of fun!

Re: What class is underplayed/needed?
I'm always torn between my classes. I played a full heal spec Shaman on Live. Here's what I've dabbled with...
Disciple of Khaine - The issue I have with DoK is that I always want to run them as a melee healer, as I think it's fun. However, I don't think this becomes very optimal in T4, and I'm not sure how to even run the Heal Spec for them as of now.
Squig Herder - RDPS is fun, the only problem I have is I feel the damage is low. I know they're kind of a support DPS, and maybe I just haven't played them to a high enough level. I also feel like, at least in T2/T3 that if someone even looks at me, my goblin has a heart attack. WLs drive me nuts as their pet seems to do considerably higher damage than the squig. They're fun, but not sure if it's the right fit for me.
Marauder or WE - MDPS probably sounds the most interesting, however, I really don't like playing them when the zerging happens, as you really just get to sit around and watch. Without a healer or tank, you kind of fall over dead, too. Not sure which one I'd play if I did. I like the idea of stealth to pick and choose your battles...
Black Orc or Black Guard - I really wanted to do this at first, and tried both to a low level. Was fun until there were no good healers around, which made it a total mess of not-fun, since you hit like a wet noodle (unless you DPS spec, I suppose). I don't know, I may still try one. BO or BG? Is BG that much worse than BO?
Honestly, I like being able to run around and solo from time to time, join PUGs, etc. I'm more of a group player, but zerging gets super boring and even feels unproductive at times. Right now, I'm leaning towards DoK. If I played DoK, would anyone be able to offer on how to spec one for healing? Dark Rites? Chalice or Dual-Wield? etc. etc. Is melee healing really, completely non-viable late game?

Find a guild and some gameplay friends to put on friend list to have someone to group with. Playing with few people in a small group is completly diffrent than following zerg ball. Much more productive as well.CeeJay89 wrote:I I'm more of a group player, but zerging gets super boring and even feels unproductive at times.
DoK (and WP) are pending massive changes once developers have client patcher ready. So it might be very diffrent class in future once those changes are made than it's now. Currently melee healing is unviable maybe with exception of roaming duo in rvr.CeeJay89 wrote:I Right now, I'm leaning towards DoK. btw - take into account that T1 zerging / pugging is not representative of whole game, game for you will drastically change in later tiers especially T4. Also classes power and skillset is also often vastly diffrent. Tanks i.e. gets lots more skills and tools later in game compared to T1, etc and so on
