That argument isnt going to get you very far, for a lot of reasons.Azerreth wrote: Thu Jul 25, 2019 2:20 am Why not just up the XP gain from RvR? I mean it won't hurt anything it would just mean you could get alts up and play in the enviorment the game was built for.
I have so many chars I wana level, but I don't want to pve and SC's are low pop. So I mean at least to thirty it would be nice to get some boosts to XP so that while im out helping my faction in rvr I get decent rewards for the contribution. I would love to be able to level through the portion of the game that was the original design behind the game. (Dungeons and stuff can come later on, but leveling at this point from rvr should not be this painful.)
The one thing I will hit on is "the original design behind the game". When this game first came out PQs might have been the most innovative thing. PvE was always a big part of the game. You have to remember on PvP server there was ganking and fights in PvE all the time. Point being the game was never designed to be as focused on one aspect as people like to claim.
Open world PvP most of the time was always a zerg fest, with one side dominating. It could still be fun because you could have 6 man zerg busters. Scenarios where you had 12 v 12 premades was some of the best fights. And the best idea to come out of the game was probably being able to invade someone's PvE instance.
The original RvR design was very pretty awesome, but didnt work for a lot of practical reasons. That's why it changed so much and so drastically. The pinnacle of the original game was a PvE encounter. The beauty of WAR was how interwoven all of the different types of PvP and PvE were. But ultimately it had too many flaws and a real world playerbase is too soft and fickle for it.
