Disclaimer: I don't think the change was really necessary cause it is a minor problem causing no really harm (dudes, whats your problem with 50renown points war reporting away from your 100 man zerg?)

I wouldn't say they don't like it, but maybe it's not, and should not be the main concern of the devs regarding this game is intendet as multiplayer game. If you feel disturbed in you solo session by to many enemies, maybe you should look in another zone, if there are no other solos around in the lower populated zone..maybe there are less of you then you think?

Sad to hear about the wr changes, as it was a vital means for the underpopulated side to fight back via guerilla tactics. Solo / duo / trio roamers will also be negatively affected by this, as numbers are now even more important.

We already have a large part of the day being PvDoor and now the few people who are left to fight back get even more obstacles put in their way. Can only shake my head at what the devs sometimes perceive as best course of action for this game.

warreprot changes is welcome. nomore ppl disapear . it was used by guilds and solo players to avoid death and bad killboard top.

WR won't change solo behavior. They'll just force close the game with no repercussions from the dev team, deny you a kill, and preserve their precious inflated K/D ratio.

Many devs have spewed their thoughts on solo players and even claims that PUGs destroy the game over the years. Now RP is crippled out of WBs and rewards in general are nerfed for solos. So sad as many that would play but don't have the time to commit to a group have no incentive to play at all.
WR cast time... just means I'm out of the keep earlier.

Or stay in certain ambush spots/play certain scs.

Being able to heal and damage while using the ability is how it worked from 2008 to 2020, and how it currently works again. The movement issue was relating to how during between 2020 and 2023 you could not cancel the channel unless you used another ability, as the other way of cancelling channels (by moving or jumping) was not an option as it roots you in place.

The 2020 adjustment was absolutely garbage, didn't actually implement the patch notes and no attempt was made to fix all of the issues it created in the process.

And that should be next on the list to be fixed. If you crash while flagged for PVP then you should be subject to the same persistence rules as if you were still logged in, e.g. your character stays there until 20 consecutive seconds of being out of combat have passed.

For those saying it hurts soloers: they are playing in one big sandbox along with everyone else. Most of the complaints typically boil down to wanting to play a different game entirely. This happened on live as well, and people arranged for fights to happen in empty/locked zones because they wanted to avoid the people doing the main actual RvR campaign in an open RvR zone.

Yeah its ridiculous honestly.
You CANNOT force people to play how YOU want them to play, instead they will simply quit.
Solo and casual gamers are by far the majority and its why this place isn't bigger than it is and has a large rate of folks leaving.

But i have the feeling they would rather kill this server off than ever change.

We very much care about all our players playing Return of Reckoning, especially our casual players who represent the majority of us. We'll watch how the War Report change affects the Realm versus Realm experience overall, but we currently don't believe the impact of this is against the casual experience of the server.
